just wondered if people thought i would get an rnr on this.
thanks in advance
Does the first 6 digits on the SEL match those on the item barcode? If so, then they are the same item.Who or what was I before you came in to my life

It seems to be the start of things.
The Duder hasn't aged much since post #6!!!!!
Wow, Ben was as intense then as he is now, great reading.
EDIT: Found the threads. My God, has it really been a year since Tesco !!!!!!ed up the prices on the PCs? Wow...time flies.
Here's the post about the member of staff who was sacked:a member of staff in our store was dimissed for gross misconduct this week over the overcharge policy. He bought 2 crates of budweiser beer on his break for a party that night - which is perfectly acceptable (were allowed to shop in our breaks)... he then genuinely realised afterwards that hed been overcharged so went to get his refund (while still on his break) - as per company policy...
Now why was he dismissed?.. Because the manager believes he purposely KNEW he was going to be overcharged for it and therefore get it for "free"... which is "purposely defrauding the company"!
If this is how they treat their staff over the policy! Well... :rolleyes:In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

Do you know when you go to the till that you're in for a freebie - is it simply a case of having a hunch (due to mismatching tickets) and then finding an instore scanner to check what price something is coming up as? (I can't see how else people are arriving at the checkout with more than one toaster, or a trolley load of lamb!!)
Its several things. Put it this way, I could go without seeing these websites ever and still hit them. Mr T has a lot of stores and a lot of prices being changed all the time, lets be honest it is to do with maximising profits (always). One thing that will amaze you is how different certain prices are in different supermarkets, you become like a walking price list. You get a knack for testing new pricing errors, I can remember when I used to have to look after british standards at a factory where i once worked. They had a knack for finding faults we did not know about to the extent that you could more or less give them a selection of products and they would find the only one that didn't conform first time. It is a mystery how they do it, and I suppose if you plonked some R&Rers in your store with no info about the current R&Rs the staff would not have a clue how we found some of them because, to be honest, some of them have nothing to do with yellow tickets and are just hunch based.
However, it is true that you can find some looking at dates, offers with products excluded (usually badley worded aka dolmio) by most of the range containing yellow lables and one or two not. I think most would agree misprices tend to happen around BOGOF type deals and also extra free type deals and 2 for x.00.
Yes, when i shop for day to day things I stop, look around the shelves, looking for possibles and yes i have found one or three this way.
Why staff are incapable of doing the same is beyond me.

OK, new one
BOGOF on Walt Disney titles * selected titles (doesn't say what the selected titles are) but as far as I could see all the boxes had labels saying buy one get one free.
Spotted that "The chronicles of narnia "had a white SEL, so I took chance that the discount wouldn't kick in.hey presto I was charged for both.
The chronicles of narnia AND The Incredibles r&r no arguments
