    What are R+Rs?

Refund and Replace - it's Tesco's policy of refunding the whole of the purchase price when they overcharge you - unfortunately it happens a lot! Come on over and see:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=273101 is the misprice thread

    yes please lol

misprice descusion people, there are a few people that make waste of time posts like these, I know other forums where stupid posts are removed and the poster is banned from the section or banned from the forum, I know MSE isnt like that they rather close threads and leave us in the unknown of will the thread be recreated. Junk posts give the moderators more work to do, they have to make sure that nothing posted can legaly come back and bite Martin on the !!!!.

  • I wonder whether she noticed and somehow applied to discount at that stage. Would she be able to do that?

 Yes they can ammend the transaction at the till. It is usually a good idea to get someone that looks like a work experience youngster to serve you, they are less observant. :o

Good advice, although I would go further and say try and get a young male 'college-type'. IME most of these are working at Tesco to get through college and probably would rather die than have a 'career' there after they have graduated so consequently generally have the same attitude as us R&R'ers with regards to the company.
I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!
  • Has anyone else managed to get an R&R on these? I sent my OH to work this morning and asked him to pop into his local branch - he chose the same titles and the BOGOF went thru OK. Although he did say the SA looked a little puzzled at one point, pressed a few buttons and then carried on with the transaction. I wonder whether she noticed and somehow applied to discount at that stage. Would she be able to do that?

No , didnt work for me either, chose Narnia and Finding Nemo
Good job i'd forgotten my credit card
  • Buy one get one free is now working on The chronicles of narnia AND The Incredibles tried this morning in my local store....

I picked up 3 Jacqueline Wilson books stickered at £3.97, hoping they were misprices along the lines of others posted in the misprice thead, but they did indeed go through at £3.97:

    So avoid these:
    Bad Girls
    Double Act
    Midnight

Also noticed that a couple of Dr Who titles were priced at £3.97, when the rest were stickered at £4.97, but these also scanned at £3.97 - so don't bother with these either:
    The Nightmare of Black Island
    The Art of Destruction

Sorry to only post negatives - but hopefully it will save someone else the bother of having to do a refund (self-scanners haven't worked for years in my store).
