Just quick post - haven't got time to trawl thru hundreds of chit chat to see if someone has already commented..

Yesterday went to 2 large T's - cd/dvd/games area looked compeltely empty - wondered what on earth was going on !
Late last night noticed one store had already put out the BOGOF on the Disney - inc Brother bear 2 by the way, which was in the charts a week or so ago, so I wonder if THAT one is right ....
But also on one of their stands they had a huge Xmas type display board going across the top - so whether this is the price blitz someone mentioned ?
Anyway, just thought I would post to advise anyone who has time today to check out this area for possible mis-prices, as if they are suddenly repricing/re-sel/re-stickering hundred of cds/dvds/games there will hopefully be a high chance of some nice oversights just in time for Christmas R&Ring

By the way, thanks to all posters on the other thread, I had a REALLY good R&R day yesterday. After a few weeks of 'clamp-down' I had so many mis-prices to choose from, I was struggling to put things in my trolley which WOULDN'T be an R&R. Nothing like a games console, but enough to put a smile on my face - crispy FREE bacon sarnies this morning for breakfast :D What a wonderful start to the day !!
Oh I DO love Tescos ;)

I'm getting fed up with wandering around Tesco stores with scraps of paper with scribbled notes on good mis-prices.

Given that a few quid hit The Dude's lap this morning, I'm thinking of going digitial.

Can anyone recommend a decent - but not too expensive - PDA that is fairly discreet - but can easily be used to record details of mis-prices etc.

For instance I was looking at this:

    Palm Z22

Is this the kind of thing you Technical Dudes would recommend?

    Any other specific products?

  • To save a bit of time DS and GBA games 2 for £30 offer worked correctly on Incredibles and ????and Narnia and Brother Bear combination does not work. BOGOF came off correctly. Will keep the DVDs though as stocking fillers for the kids..

    What are R+Rs?

Hi Alison.....Without wanting to appear pedantic against Bookworm63's reply.....RandR is actually Refund and Retain......and if you go back to page 1 Post 1 of this thread, you will find loads of info on this

The page explains the policy, gives explanations of the abbreviations, gives usefull addresses, and other help.

    ......hope this helps.

  • Hi Folks
I have been picking up a few R&Rs over the past few weeks.
Just popped into my local Tesco’s store over lunch and was followed at a not too discrete distance by a security (thug) guy. I couldn’t resist making a comment, even though discretion is the better part of valour. This resulted in me being told that he wasn’t there to have me make sarcastic comments at him, he was there to do a job of work and any further comments by me, would result in him asking me to leave the store.
Then followed lots of walkie-talkie mutterings and PA announcements calling people urgently to the cctv room (guilty conscience?).
So my questions are, what should my course of action be and what is the stores likely to be?

I suppose that might still be a bit obvious....although a nice piece of kit.....I have a small voice activated dictaphone with an earpeice.....which enables me to record automatically.....and replay at set intervals at a later time....
depending on the Tesco department I am in......

and they can be had for less than £20 at the moment, and run on RandR batteries.

in fairness, what can you do? You were followed by a store detective, you made a provocative comment and got a response that you did not like. The guard is there to do a job and he was doing precisely that. Being followed is not a pleasant experience, and i totally understand your objections however in my experience, people are NOT followed or watched totally at random. The store could apologise but would it really make you feel any better about the incident?
