Hardly naughty, I mean staff are customers too! It's not like the policy is a big secret! I would only think it would be valid if they were phoning their mates before removing SEL's etc.Sig ah Sig Ahhh0

I meant naughty in the sense of them getting there before us, DeeDee!I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0

I seem to recall the said poster, i believe they got around £100 of beer...along with the sack.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

Quick question fr you lovely folks (I can't face reading all 106 pages to see if opinions have already been offered!) but:
On the whole, how difficult do people find it to get R&Rs honoured on expired SELs? ie when the only 'lower' price advertised is the yellow SEL which has, say, yesterday's date. I know from experience that the 'you should have checked the date' argument is a favourite of CS staff, so what's the retort? Obviously I would say 'No, I shouldn't look at the bloody date, you should make sure the prices are right, idiot' or words to that effect, but is there a tendency for the stores to refuse R&Rs on 1-day-old expired SEL promos?0 -
Never once had a problem, personally speaking...I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0

Even on larger purchases? I would imagine that by now the staff are wise to folks who suddently have the urge to buy an xbox the day after the promotion ends!0

@krakan
In my experience the CS staff have never argued with me about an out of date SEL - they just accept that Tesco have made a mistake and have unlawfully over-charged me - which is exactly what has happened. But yes, the responsibiltiy is on their shoulders (not ours( to update the SELs, and you should assume the big price is what you pay without reading all the small print.
These are almost the easist R + Rs to get. The only easier way is with a stickered product that shows a lower price than you have been charged.
Also, I have been told by Dundee Customer services that the R + R policy applies even if you are over charged by 1p on an item of £1000. So the value of the product does not excuse them of their legal duty.
Good luck with R + Ring - its pretty addictive !Badgers badgers badgers .......0 -
Sorry for being dumb, but what does R+R mean in the context of the posts above please?
Thanks!0 -
