I suppose I shouldn't be surprised really. For years, my mum has said that her nearest Tesco (which has no big competition within an 8 mile radius) was more expensive than the next nearest one where there is plenty of competition  . Many of her friends avoided it for that reason.

The smaller Tesco's seem to work on a totally different pricing structure and have different offers than the big ones.

You could feed some to the monkey on the CS desk when you get one..

(This does not assume all CS assistants are monkeys....far from it.)
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Most of my neighbours now have a bag of these courtesy of my generosity (but, if I am being entirely honest, it's more to do with not having fattening things lying around the house tempting me!). My neighbours love Mr T (even though most of them shop at Asda!)...

OK first post here from a newbie so be gentle with me. I would love to go for the R&R as I think it is a fab policy and using it to advantage is not abuse of Tesco. However, I also work for Mr Tesco and am not sure how I would stand if I went to R&R something. Is anyone else in this situation? Or should I ignore the guilt and just go for it?

Depends how you define 'using the policy'. If I was genuinely overcharged on something as part of a normal shop then I would go to the desk and sort it out.

But I think actively seeking out overcharges week after week, especially on big items such as x-box's and phones would be a bit dodgy. What happens if you need to go to head office over a big item? I think it would be a 'conflict of interest'.

It is tempting but at the end of the day is it worth the hassle when you've got to go back to work there the next day? I wouldnt dream of it in my own store, and I know people in the other local stores so I wouldn't do it there either. If I was far away then maybe the temptation would strike on a big item, but it goes back to the issue of what about if you had to deal with head office?

Basically, I don't think its worth it.

I know the Express stores have a different pricing structure but this not a particularly small store (sells clothes, opens 24 hours). I think they just have a captive market and price accordingly.

So, to anyone on here who shops at the Flitwick store, I'm told it's much cheaper in Bedford!

BTW Found out today that the Fruit Shoot 300ml 2 for £3 multisave is not working on the Orange and Peach flavour either - getting a good stock of these for the kids now!

If memory serves me correctly, I'm sure a former Tesco employee posted that she'd been sacked for using R&R in another store. I can't remember the exact details, but she was sacked for Gross Misconduct, even though she hadn't done anything illegal.

That certainly wouldn't surprise me. Guess they could argue previous or insider knowledge etc. Like I said sometimes it is tempting but I never would, my job is worth more than an X-Box I didn't want/need in the first place.

I couldn't argue against Tesco sacking employees who R&R'ed, personally. Very naughty indeed.
