    Actually, it's "Invitation to Treat"...;)

    You're correct of course MUNT!
The shop makes the Invitation and we make the Offer.
    It was getting late!

Sorry, I seem to have wandered onto the wrong thread - I could have sworn this should be the Tesco Mis-price discussion Thread, and that is what it says at the top - so how come all the bickering, 6itching and backbiting ?

I must assume that the majority of posters today are plants aiming to get this thread closed. I hope the mods will take action against the individuals and not the thread itself. What has wages and working conditions or the location of someones place of work got to do with the theme of this thread

I really cannot be bothered to read thru all these pages of utter rubbish day after day. I will stick to the mis-price posting thread, and hope that some people either come to their senses, or are excluded permanently. I won't be surprised if the thread is closed again.

Grow up, or clear off  This thread is getting worse than a school playground - a primary one at that !
  • Soon a "Which Tescos is on the ball and which is slacking" thread will be in high demand as the pickings get thinner and thinner.

I saw a POS in my local with the £20 off GOTW for the xbox "folded over" so technically the poster was out for the new GOTW with potential R&R but i think unfolding a poster is probably against the r&r ethics...

Buying another expensive (sometimes an R&R guess, other times something u need, other times something u just don't mind taking back the next day) together with your mispriced item, usually helps immensely with the speed of the transaction and they treat u less like scum.

Also 5p off petrol is all yours. Happy Days.

Noticed in 2 local Tescos that they now have different SELs at 99p for these now.

Although it seems a widely held view that Tesco are ripping us off by charging more for the 'free' product, I think it's just two promotions overlapping, ie

Promotion 1 = Product + 20% extra free at normal RRP of 99p
Promotion 2 = Standard weight product at promotional price of 94p

If there is an overlap of promotions of this type, the two products may have different bar codes (they do in this case) and will therefore scan as a misprice.

.... I'm beginning to wonder about those 20% extra Cadburys Chocolate bars on multisave which Constantine posted about .... ;)

I can see your point but the standard pack price is 94p on a white SEL so dont see as its a promotion. In fact, just been in a different store that has the peanuts on a yellow SEL with the price of 99p and the description actually says "20% extra free" on the SEL!!
That just seems to confirm it for me that when they see the product come in with the 20% free on it they just think of a "promotion" where they just charge a bit more meaning the 20% isnt actually free at all!
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)
  • 'Taken....Just when I thought we could lay the Troll to rest, you had to bite.
Sorry - was out and about all day. Replied to that one post before reading the rest of the thread.

Incidentally, I think I may have visited the worst Tesco ever over the weekend. It had really stocky, stab-vest clad security guards on the door.
In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

  • I JUST SPENT 10 MINUTES READING THROIGH 6 PAGES OF TROLLING!

Please, people, don't get personal, don't feed the troll. Mods should consider cleaning up this thread for the sake of it remaining an intelligent misprice discussion.

Seeing as it is over 100 pages long now, perhaps it would be an idea to start the 12th thread, and it may also be an idea to request that people don't waste the first 3 pages thanking you guys for creating it. (we are all grateful, but its a waste of posts)

    Mis-prices only, please?!
  • The only question I have is why the posters in here continue to feed a troll?

How hard can it be to simply ignore someone? I do it all the time ;)

Or is it some sort of perverse thread deathwish?

    I agree wholeheartedly.

"How hard can it be to simply ignore someone? I do it all the time "
Surely a skill any married man has learnt ...

Hi, could someone clarify for me, If a SA has put the wrong items in the wrong place on the shelves, with different POS in front, does this class as been overcharged?
I know the description would be different, but how many shoppers just look at the price and chuck it in their trolley and then get overcharged?
    Thanks
