Good theory, Coupon-mad, but I'm afraid it's wrong. I got Nodddy and Cars, both described as BOOKS on my receipt, and the discount DID kick in. How gutted am I... :rolleyes:

Anyway, good try - I do wish we could work out exactly how this works

my receipt says 'books' for both the noddy and cars annuals and the discount didnt kick in, but that was last weekend

Just a note about my recent experience of CS. Had an argument in one local store at the beginning of the week re R&R on Rump Steak. Left store paying for steak but phoned Dundee saying I thought labelling was misleading. Letter back today apologising along with a £5 moneycard. Only spent £9 so pretty pleased. And yes R&R in Ayrshire is a definite.

Went to two tescos no more R+R on consoles i think they have stopped the deal of the week. And all labels have become normal no more yellow offers etc. Im a newbie on this lol if im wrong sorry . I spoke to the guy and he goes its a national tesco thingy and that they are stopping the offers, But you are more then welcome to buy both seperate. I did see the tekken in yellow but it said Temp out of stock. What he did then was took that out and underneath was the real price and he also scanned it for me on his own scanner and it came up to £29.99. Really wanted a PSP (tbh i hope im worng from what i said and theyre still up and running lol)

Seriously, before anyone knew about the R&R policy how many of us checked the price per Kg on the pack to the SEL? Not many I bet!

So they gave away a few (hundred? thousand?) consoles, they will recoup that in no time, if they havent done so already!

Got 2 of the ps2 games today at local tesco(2for £25),went through till 1@£19.99+1@£14.99,no discount applied,i went to cs and they refused refund and offered to put through at £25 for the 2,i pointed out their overcharge policy on board at back of her and the stickers £13.97 or 2 for £25 which were on the 2 games but they argued this was ongoing problem and it was stores discretion on this issue,i had to phone cs at dundee up at the instore public phone and they spoke to instore cs and told them to refund and let me keep product.

just got back from Tesco (where else lol)

managed to pick up one of the Philips Cube stereos, it really is nice.
saw 3 displays for it, first 2 said 49.97 and thought I was out of luck, then spotted third display round corner at bottom of shelf..39.97! paid for it at normal till not electricals.. full R&R after being offered difference, which I declined!

today i tried my first r+r. went to teco deysbrook barracks in liverpool. bought a nintendo ds + game of the week which was lego star wars 2. they had a poster up saying £10 off when you buy. discount did not come off went to c.s and they offered me the game for free, after about 15 mins of explanation. i was told to take it up with head office. a member of staff not c.s told me to speak to kevin kelly. so i phoned him when i got home he told me that it is an expired offer. and although the poster was still up in the store that the did not have to honer it. he offered me the £10 difference for the discount that didnt come off as a gesture of good will, in the form of a tesco voucher. he was adamant that i was not getting a full r+r for the purchase. oh yes forgot to mention the poster stated that the offer was for week commencing the 22/09/06. i even tried saying that the offer should still be on then as 22 + 7 days = 29. today being the 29/09/06. but no chance . gonna take it back to another store for a full refund..

don't be put off, tesco couldn't organise a !!!! up in a brewerey.

Also you went for the top 1st time out, alot of other posters mentioned building up confidence by trying smaller items 1st.
