not quite laughing...when it does come in i'm out of a job!!!Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

MyUserNamesTaken wrote:I know people are knocking Tesco for the self-scan machines, but it isn't just a Tesco issue. You have exactly the same problem with pay at the pump petrol stations. All the giant supermarket chains have pay at the pump pumps on their forecourt, with no added security. It would be easy to use someone else's credit card, as it never asks for a pin number.
This is not always correct..... my Local ASDA requires that you put your PIN in prior to using the self serve pumps

I have been TRYING to find the PS2 PotC game, but one store had them all correctly priced, the other has a sel up for every chart game EXCEPT that one. So someone else must have managed to get one R&Rd.
I will have to keep checking in the hope a diligent member of staff puts the sel back :rolleyes:0 -

Went into my local T with a list from here tonight but none of the lower prices on here seemed to apply. No annuals stickered 2 for £8, no batteries priced 2 for £4.50, finest cookies sel and scan £1.09, pirates of car'b'n sel & scan £24.97 and champagne sel and scan £26.99. Why is my Tesco able to be more expensive than others?0

Hi everyone,
Just a quick update after my trip to Mr.T's yesterday, I phoned HO this morning and explained the situation, she said I'll phone the store. She did and she got in touch with CS team leader, she in turn had to speak to the manager who was not back in the store until late afternoon. Several phone calls later I was told to come to the store to get my money back:j :j :j .
Came home with all the money! It always pays to walk away with the goods and not accept the difference when offered!!Any opinions voiced are entirely my own and in no way represent those of anyone but me.

They've barely been around for 2yrs..
You have to get the public used to an idea before it can replace what came before. The majority of people don't go anywhere near the self-scan machines, other than to have a look out of curiosity.
When the public accept the idea THEN the jobcuts will come in, obviously.
The majority, yes.
But 24% of my customers use them every week. Around 18% is the average for stores which have them installed. (That is customer count rather than percentage of sales. They tend to be used for smaller shops)Who or what was I before you came in to my life
I am not sure0 -
Re my ordeal last week with manager making a scene and threatening police attendance and my subsequent complaint. E-mailed Dundee and Sir Terry on Sat afternoon and only recieved an automatic reply on Tuesday. Dundee said on phone today they have a 6 day backlog of complaints via e-mail but they will get round to me. Is this the runaround or has anyone else had the same trouble?0
