There you go - it's now permitted..
Seriously, take the photograph anyway - let tesco try to enforce the 'no photography' bit after the event.

Cant believe I found a store today that still had the out of date WKD red SEL up!!
Only got two bottles though as I was worried they would scan with the discount.
Also got two packs of free range chicken breasts, when I went to CS desk for the R&R the lady went off to look at the SEL and when she returned the other woman on the CS desk muttered "hes a regular" or something like that as she walked past, after full scrutiny of my receipt and asking for my clubcard to deduct the points I finally got my R&R
Then popped to another store and stocked up on batteries (expired SEL 2 for £4.50 offer) so got 10 packs, thanks to the OP for that one, always handy to have some batteries in the drawer!
Seemed like the stores round here had got the phone thing sorted too, could only find one white SEL and that was on the pink samsung but that is still cheaper than it is in the "lets talk" magazine or whatever its called.
And pinks not my colour anyway!Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -

what does this have to do with r&R?
this has indeed been all over the news today, it was a point that has been raised many times by staff members that i know, i am suprised it has taken this long to get into the wider world.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

Take it to the ethics thread and ask there....am sure you will get some forthright views.
In my opinion it is fraud pure and simple, you are trying to get a refund on a free product.

I'm suprised they didn't sort it out earlier. The first time they used that type of till i commented to the tesco employee nearby that it was really unsecure as you could use anyones card.
All that got me was a look of disgust as though it was me that was the criminal....
I wonder how many kids have just nicked their parents' cards and bought tonnes of crap on them?0 -
WOW, I have just done my first R&R, can't believe it was so easy!!!
It was for a Western digital passport 60 gb hard drive was marked up on an out of date yellow SEL for £72.97, scanned in at £89.97. So took it to CC and the lady there said she would go and check, I waited nervously feeling like everybody was looking at me. (they weren't!)
She came back and said
"yep, you're right"
me -"oh I thought So"
Cashier - " you do realise that because its our mistake, you get a full refund and to keep the product?"
Me (feigning amazement) - "what, really?!"
Cashier - "yep I love doing it (!!), I shouldn't really, but I love doing it, especially at Christmas!"
RESULT!!
Just wanted to thank all you guys on here, for giving me the confidence to do it, especially as I have been overcharged loads before, but felt it was too much of a fuss to bother with, mwah to you all!!

thanks for that Kimmywin, thats a really good R&R, especially for your first one!!
Sounds like a good store to go back to and a CS to find for future R&Rs! perfect start to your R&R career :beer:0 -

Chances are he was fed up of people making that comment to him, we know that its a problem, but its not us that are responsible for the tills, its a HO thingTitch0 -
I'm currently trying to come up with a reply to the eMail I received from Tesco that I posted on Page 76 on this thread.
Could anyone help at all. My first eMail obviously didn't do anything. Do I mention Trading Standards in there? What exactly should I quote from TS?0
