  • Got about £100 of free some meat, dvds and books in the last week, but still too scared to go for a 360. I don't even know why, I know its not illegal or anything I just get there and feel all guilty

Dont feel guilty for being overcharged!!

The 'insider knowledge' theory is entirely believable IMO. It can't be easy watching us take home free stuff the value of which is probably more than some of these people (especially the part-timers) earn in a week. If it DOES happen, it's even more embarrassing for Tesco to admit to it, I suppose. Nothing worse than trying to fight the 'enemy within'...
I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!

hmmm, speculating as to why the other threads were locked isn't on topic ;)

The Forum Team would have had their reasons. Please can we just move on now with the new thread and forget the other threads? It's not going to help and will just clutter the new thread up. Thanks :)

I know it isn't on topic, but surely if it was the contents of the thread ( ie what we were all posting) which caused it to be closed, wouldn't it be better to tell us ?
Such as don't mention specific store locations, or don't mention touching sels, or don't mention Tesco staff by name etc.
If it is something WE have done wrong, or some LEGAL problem with the whole ethos of this thread, shouldn't we be told ? :o
I STILL haven't plucked up the guts for a console, and this has made me even MORE nervous. I don't want to go for one this week-end, and have my collar felt by the police/security and made an example of, for some on-going legal argy-bargy that we haven't been made aware of !

P,S I am REALLY glad the thread has re-opened. Since it closed, I've had loads of success, and some failures which I wanted to share.

DVDs are a mine field at the moment. - have posted on other thread re sin city - which is now down to £5.97 !
  • I know I will P155 alot of people off posting this but all the tripe that is being posted needs to stop

hmm a 3rd xbox and 3rd psp would be nice hehe

How is this on topic? posts like this are cloging up the thread, showing off that you have 2 xboxes or 2 PSP's isnt a good thing remember tesco read this thread.

I am dying to know if the console deal is on again today....I guess we will have to wait for the reports from the people that are obviously out there stocking up!! :D

Why not find out for yourself go to your store and report back. I will be calling in a store later but I dont go telling everyone normally.
Kids getting ready to go to Tesco as I type. Will let you know how I get on.

    Thanks
Lets all start posting telling people we are going to Tesco. no one is interested, tell us what you find when you get back. Unfortunatly they get replies that are also not required, Sorry Plushchris but you didnt really need to make that post did you?

Plush chris i have sent you a pm can you pleeeeeeeeese help me
    Thanks
Chris will answer when he reads it you dont need to tell everyone else you sent chris a PM

The stuff that is being posted isnt relevent to the subject, I am sure that redfox doesnt want to read through 4 pages of tripe to see if there is a post that can get the board in to trouble but unfortunatly redfox is having to do exactly that and will start moaning soon about the thread and it could end up closed again as it is taking up too much time to moderate. If it reopens we will have 7/8 pages of thanks for reopening the thread posts thats what the thanks button is for.

I am sat here entering postcodes in to tom tom, checking the store location on the tesco site ect to create a usefull POI for anyone that wants it, as soon as I post the link it is likley to disapear in the thread.

    EDIT:
Looks like redfox is getting tough I make that 5 pages of stuff removed since I posted this.
    Thanks

Please keep this thread on topic and useful, and the posts relevant to the subject!

The thread is less than 24 hours old and already numerous posts have had to be removed. These threads are taking up far too much time for the Forum team and the BGs to keep a check on and if resources continue to be stretched too far, the threads may well be closed again.

    Thanks :)

OK have been to Tesco Hibel Road in Macclesfield. The Xbox GOTW is Godfather and Nintendo is indeed Fifa.

However the ad says GOTW get £20 off if bought with Xbax which to me says quite clearly the discount is off the game, so I'm guessing any errors would not result in the whole lot back.

    HTH someone!

WARNING. Confirmed by friend who works at Tesco. All checkout staff at her store beign told to look at Stickered products and to esnure that they go through at no more than stickered price. Any R&R is going to be logged against the till number to ensure that staff are not being lazy.

    Oh the joy of self-scan!

Sorry but then surely posts complaining about posts that have been removed are not relevent to the subject?
