Tesco misprice discussion area part 11

I do read 'most' of the threads on here and have got the 'gist' of the console R&R, but would some kind soul break it down for me exactly how to do it....................or direct me to the OP explaining what to do please

I think most of the 'players' for the consoles will be off hunting, as offers change on Fridays.

The RnR is based on the fact that the Console + game deal is a bundle, ie you don't get the discount unless you buy both, so both should be free.

As for knowing whether or not the discount will kick in, I'm not too sure - haven't gone for any biggies yet

I'm sure there will be more information posted later about what works and what doesn't. HTH

Unless tesco make another mistake the console r+r is over as the offer ended today.

Read the old threads to find out how to do it thread 9 towards the end will explain I thinkthread 10 was just a mass of posts with usefull info in there but you have to search for it. Unfortunatly his thread seems to be going the same way 13 pages in about 15 hours Im sure we will have another thread by monday at this rate.

Can everyone please keep things on topic.

Ohh and who asked for the tom tom POI?
I updated the one from pocket GPS and posted where I had stored it but I cant be bothered to search for it. I am in the process of updateing it again as I now have the store guide here are loads of stores mising from the pocktgps POI so hold on

Obviously Tesco have lost a lorra money in the last 2 weeks.....

There has been some speculation of CS staff abusing their 'inside' knowledge based on our discoveries.

Which got me thinking (steady....)

I now recall many months ago getting a R&R on a film called Dark Water (it's a pants film - but hey - it was free).

I was chatting to a nice CS lady about the film when she was doing the refund - told her it was by the same people who did The Ring - a film she liked.

She asked me if there were other copies on the shelf - Yes, I replied.

Then she said words to the effect of "Oh I'll have to get that when I finish here".

At the time I thought nothing of it - but now I wonder if she actually went and got (or someone on her behalf) the film on R&R for herself.

Let's face it - with the current console polova - if you were on the CS desk and aware of the mis-price and you know that little Johnny at home is still playing with a mega-drive - would you not be tempted to call someone in the family to dive it and get an R&R?

Perhaps this is why Tesco have thrown the Board Teddy out of the pram this week - not simply the cost of R&R to the likes of us - but the added R&R from Tesco staff and their loved ones?

Or perhaps I'm spouting nonsense again

No its not nonsense El Duderino! (The brevity thing )

If I worked in a tescos and was made aware of that, I would be straight on the phone to a mate to come in and pick one up. Think a lot of people would!

Edit: And besides, whats wrong with still playing on a Megadrive? I still use mine! (Micro Machines in four/eight player is still the best party game around!)

Hi there,

Been reading this thread with some interest and just wondered if anyone had any luck with R&R's in the Tesco at Irvine ? I'll be out that way tomorrow so might take a drop past.

Also the new 24 Tesco Extra at Pollock (just off the M77) ... will be passing there tonight on the way home so if there was the chance of some deals it'd be worth dropping in.
