Hi again to all you ScentMallChasers out there.

In my case, the "Disputed Payment" process opened with my CC provider after I'd returned the item has finally resulted in a refund of my original purchase price to my credit card account - This is labelled as a "Chargeback" on my statement.

My claim via UKECC is still not resolved, and I am hoping to be able to claim back the FULL amount I've paid out including the return postage for the item. I have of course told UKECC about the credited amount.#

ScentMall have NOT contacted me to inform me of any refund.

    Keep up the good work.

We too have been victims of their scam!
My fiance ordered a now discontinued perfume on their website, and unfortunately, did not check out google before hand to find out how much of a scam they are!
The item arrived 4 days before Christmas, and when he opened it up found it to be Coco Chanel and not the perfume he had ordered! He immediately emailed their customer support team who emailed back and advised that they had enclosed a voucher code to be used online but he would have to either return the item for a refund or keep it. He decided to keep it not known it was a fake at the time, and reordered what he wanted to buy! Lo and behold the wrong item turned up in January! ANd again he was advised to return the item to Bulgaria! I've now been online and found out others and been duped, and have now emailed them a strongly worded email! Half of which was ignored and a response from David Miles in the Seychelles!

just happened to me too. I ordered Alexander McQueen and got CoCo Chanel. They are asking me to send it back and are saying that they do have Alexander McQueen in stock but I don't believe them. I think it's discontinued as I can't get it anywhere else for less than £80. Is the Co Co Chanel fake?

Its highly likely to be a fake. As I didnt want to open mine, I took mine to the local store and compared the box (nice assistant agreed that I could do so) and the item from scentmall was in a faded box, colour not true, "embossed" logo's not standing proud, no Brand sticker on the cellophane and generally second-class quality packaging.

If you do decide to return it, their previous track record suggests they will say they havent got the package, and you will then spend endless e-mails back 'n forth telling them when / where you posted it and they will send you a bog-standard reply saying they havent got your package, could you please tell them (again) where / when you posted it. A bit like Groudhog day as someone has said before.

If you do decide to return send registered/ recorded/tracked VERY important as that will be needed if you claim through your credit card disputes procedure ! Excellent earlier posts on how to claim.

Some have sent theirs to the Manufacturer, Trading standards, not sure what happened next to those.

Of course you could keep it, wear it and wonder why eveyone keeps keeps 5 yards away from you or mutters comments like ........ "I'm sure that damned cat from next door has peed up my pants again"

Great news for al those who have been conned...
Can't post the link as i'm a newbie but heres the info from an article in the Bulgarian press today...
Spetspolitsai CDCOC wrecked by an online store, which offers high-quality counterfeit perfumes of famous brands. Anti-!!!!! investigation began after they were signaled by many customers from Denmark, Germany and England.
These consumers explained that they were misled by the proposed sites scentmall org, scentmall net, scentmallpromotions com, scentmallcatalog com, scentmallreviews co uk product. Instead of original products that were paid by foreigners received poor perfumes bearing the name of global brands D & G, BVLGARI, Armani, Chanel, FERRE, VERSACE, CK, GUCI, Cartier.
During the investigation spetschengetata discovered that the owner of the electronic stores is R. N. (28). There followed a special operation in the territory of the capital along with employees of metropolitan Fourth WDP and the Patent Office. In searches carried out by shops and warehouses, managed by the firm of R. N. were found and seized a large number of high-quality fakes. Has stopped and access to electronic stores. Prevent damage to the rightholders of the brands are worth more than BGN 150 000

  • Hello everyone,

I wish I had read all these forums and have been informed about the scams scentmall.org before I purchase 2 perfumes (Eau de Cartier Relaxante) on the 6th of May 2011. At first Ccbill page that scentmall redirected me to, declined my credit card details (possibly they stopped co-operate with them). Then, I contacted ScentMall (support@scentmall.org) and I asked for their bank details so I can make a bank wire, because I needed so much these perfumes, that they were not available to other stores. They e-mailed me their bank details and I made a bank wire of (100,88 Euros) to their account on the 9th of May 2011.

After that I contacted them because I couldn't track the parcel and so on.. I tried to contact them the last days but their e-mail address is unreachable..

Can anyone help me please? Please guide me what's the right thing to do? Has anyone got a refund yet?

    Thanks in advance!

    Christos

Christos, i hate to say it but as the company has been closed due to them being busted (see above), the chances of getting a refund are very slim. Contact the UK ECC and they will be able to help you and let you know what to do. :(

  • Did you have a problem with this company too?

I contacted the ECC in Bulgaria and they asked me for my bank details and the whole e-mail history between me and them. The ECC told me that most of the people got a refund. So, possibly I will. We will see though.. I have to say be careful all of you, they will be probably have another e-shop now..

    Indeed.
At last. UKECC tell me that Scentmall will refund me the remaining balance of my return postage fees to a PayPall account.
    They have.
What a nightmare for ALL Scentmall customers.
    Good Luck!
