European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net) are available on the following telephone number: 08456 04 05 03

My telephone enquiry of them today in relation to this ScentMall business was a revelation in clarity of explanation and understanding of my problem, together with concisely delivered assistance and advice.

I would wholeheartedly recommend ANYONE to contact them by means of telephone in the first instance.

If its possible to more widely circulate my experiences of the ECC to forum users, please do so (I don't know how to!)

(I've dropped a note to the form moderators re the above circulation thought)

Please say so if there is, or I can't see any point continuing to post my own experiences in order to help those who just don't re-read their original posts! - YOUR posts inspired me!!
    Come on!!!

  • I am another victim of ScentMall - just wish I had read all of this before paying them money :( It looks as if the ECC may be looking into this though so I might try my luck. Just wanted to add my voice because they really should not be allowed to get away with this!

My item was tracked as far as leaving the UK, but apparently only the "Airsure" service is fully tracked to the destination.
I used "International Signed For", which wasn't enough, apparently. I guess its not actually correctly named...
I have heard NOTHING from either Scentmall or the e-mail address provided by the ECC people since the 16th March.
In any event, I have posted again on Scentmall's order form asking them to confirm receipt and provide refund time scales. I noted that they had actually REMOVED my post from their website (listed above) which contained the ECC info and observations on their company.
In the event of an unsatisfactory response (which I suspect is likely)On Monday, I will pass this all to the ECC for them to obtain a refund on my behalf.

My last message to them is as below:
"My package was returned on the 16th March 2011.
    The tracking number is RJ**********GB.
You have removed my previous entry on this, dated 16th March 2011., nor have you responded to my e-mail to o.kostadinov@perfumes.bg
Have you received the package as yet?,
When do you intend to issue my refund?"

Well done AC5! I admire your persistence - this is what is needed in chasing down the scammers. Keep up the good work - you might also like to check the various reviews on SiteJabber (dot) com. The more sites we get bad reviews posted on, the more complaints come up on the search engines if anyone tries to check up on them. (Reverse SEO, I guess!) Keep up the good work. PS I got my money back from my cc company after starting a dispute procedure.

Well, no...they e-mailed me to say.....

    Thank you for your email.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to find any returned products under your name in our system. Could you kindly provide more information regarding the return including tracking number/s, postage recipient and any other kind of proof so we can put your case into investigation.

After having the documents we will process your request to our courier who usually resolve the cases within 1 month.

I would like to thank you again for contacting the Client Support department. I hope that I was able to assist you effectively. Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns. If there is anything else I can do for you please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Kind Regards,
    David Miles

I have re-sent the postage details, e-mailed them an image of the postage receipt, and re-instated my lengthy post of the 16th March, when I first returned it (and they deleted from the system)
    I shall ring ECC next.

interestingly, their observations are that SO FAR, referring the complaints about Scentmall to the Bulgarian Authorities have resulted in refunds.
    HOWEVER
Scentmall are operating the customer service department from the address below:
    Customer Support - Scent Mall
Francis Rachel Str - Victoria - Mahe, Seychelles
    Email: support@scentmall.org - Web: http://www (dot) scentmall (dot)org/

It seems that ECC believe that they are trying to relocate the whole business to the Seychelles, at which point NO-ONE will be getting any money back.

I don't like this company very much

I've just filed a payment dispute with my credit card provider.
I'll re-post here whenever something useful occurs.
    Regards to everyone out there!
