  • yea i got offered that rubbish nokia phone that everyone was offered when they ran out. the point is they had them when i phoned, and if i received it like i was supposed to id have the phone i wanted and id have it now! in fairness its still a good offer even just for the sim alone. i guess I'm just a bit miffed :(

i don't blame you ... is there any record of your call at all? if they're putting aside certain stock for the promotion and have run out that's fair enough but if they've made a mistake perhaps they can be persuaded to let you have one of the lobster phones they are selling on their website.

  • She said there wasn't any record of my call or order :( I've checked my credit card etc, but they didn't take any money. this time i got a confirmation email, i didn't before. that in itself strongly suggests who ever i spoke to did not process my order or lost it etc. bummer :(

Finally I didn't join Virgin. On the first call with them I setup everything but the guy on the phone was having trouble with his computer and said he'll finish it up later and would ring me back within 30min. I never received a call back and meanwhile (as I was wanted to transfer an existing number) my current provider offered me a similar deal (but with no phone) when he heard I was leaving.

It took me a while to get exactly what I wanted from them but I've manage without any paper hassle.
  • I am already on this £10 a month 300txts and 300mins tariff, I am somewhat confused though.....will i stop getting this deal on 31/01/06. Or does the date apply to new customers ??

Do you mean where it says 'offer ends 31/12/06', if you do that just refers to the take up of the offer not the deal itself.

    Quick question,

I'm on a vodafone £27/month contract til February or March, but have purchased one of the £10/month sims from virgin now.

Do they start taking direct debits for the £10 immediately after purchase or only after you've registered the sim. As i'm hoping to see out the vodafone contract, then register my new virgin sim in february and hopefully only start getting charged £10 from then?

    Cheers
