  • Does anyone know if this is definately only a month by month deal as my B-I-L is asking about it but doesn't want to be tied to any contracts

It is a one month contract. I think you have to give them 28 days notice, but that's all.
  • FoD,
it is a one month rolling contract. If you don't want it after the first month then just cancel it and that'll be the end of it.
...and then the window licker said to me...

OK folks, I have just read the last couple of pages. I hope you are reading this Mr Branson......

I first contacted Virgin for this deal on 4th December and managed to get Moto Pebl for £29.99. Sim was going to take up to 5 Working days. I have been on and off the phone to nearlly everyone who works for the company (apart from Richard) and am absolutely appauled at their lack of customer service.

They have not called me back when they said they would. They have called me when I least expected it and promised that the sim is being posted when I have queried what is happening. I had a phone message to say that they could not deliver on 25th December "as you have requested"....don't know where that little gem came from. They Have rearranged delivery and stated a manager would call me back to confirm if they can send special delivery or not (which never happened)and finally today I have called them and Dave (no surname given) has promised to contact the despatch department and ask them to send it by Lynx to arrive tomorrow morning. I will believe it when I see it.

I cannot think of anything else I can do as it is meant to be a chrissie present...the ball is in your court Virgin and with the soon to be launched Virgin Media early in 2007 May I suggest spending some money on training your staff on how to communicate with each other and your customers.

I will let you all know what happens next and what response I get when I contact Virgin Mobile and ask for compensation for the time and money I have had to use to sort out putting a piece of plastic into an envelope and posting it.

Had my phone delivered the next day. Rang the customer service a couple of times and got straight through. They were helpful. The biggest drawback with lobster 544 is lack of security feature. Referring to fixed dialling feature. My other phone. Sonyerriccson has this feature. Whan activated no one can use the phone to call out unless they type the pin number. So it is safe to leave it lying around the house.

good feature is that i can connect to the pc via the cable supplied and download my fav tracks
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems :( Well at least i learn something on the way :D
  • I sent Virgin a very polite yet strong email, about 3 days regarding the lack of availability of the Lobster 575 USB data cables and the dodgy prices and reviews of them on the net.

They replied back saying they would agree to send me 1 for free.

I've heard some of you complaining about it as well, so it may be worthwhile dropping them an email to see what they say.

    Thanks
  • btw, has anyone else received a Lobster 575 data cable off them yet? Do they work? lol
  • No
But I will certainly try it
Where did you email it to?
  • oh just got another SIM on this 300/300 deal for my Wife - she's not out of contract for a while but its worth having an extra SIM now before the deal stops!

just send an email to the address... theteam (at) virginmobile.com

    or just call 789

I got an email off them the other day, saying there is a delay in deliveries and that i have to wait a few more days, but there sending me it for free which would have otherwise cost about £15 or so. So i'm still happy

    Good luck
