  • Has anyone had any problems passing the credit check for this deal??

I have been a Telewest customer for 8 years, and have never missed one payment. I have (as far as I know) a good credit rating. I have a small mortgage, one loan, and no debt on my credit card, and yet I have been turned down for this offer. When I questioned the decision over the phone, I got the standard reply "We can't tell you the reason, its either pass or fail and contact Equifax"

This is very annoying as I was looking forward to saving some more money with this offer, so I am in the process of sending off to Equifax for a credit report to see if there is any obvious reason.

After searching on other forums, it seems a lot of other people have been turned down by Virgin for this offer, despite being cable customers for years, and having good credit scores.

Has anyone had any experience of this with Virgin Mobile, and is there anything else I can do to be accepted for this offer??

    Thanks!

I had problems and failed it. Ended up getting report from equifax, turned out they didnt have me on file at the address i lived at. Took 2 months but finally got sorted with £20 credit for the inconvenience too.

according to virgin t&cs that's what will happen. You have to have one of their other services.
