We were on a great package - for the last 12 months we've paid £5 a month for the basics...inc E4, Sky One, Discovery, Nicktoons etc etc...(we had someone call us as we had just the Sky freeview channels at the time) but today it went up to £21! Anyway, just called (0870 in a queue - probably cost me a fortune!) was passed through to a very nice man in cancellations who offered me £15 a month - to which I said no...then it came down to £7.50 a month for 6 months, no tie in so I'm free to cancel with notice whenever I wish and furthermore the £21 direct debit I paid today will credit my account and cover nearly 3 months worth!!! I'd have been silly to say no really...gotta suffer Spongebob over Xmas - the kids will be over the moon!!!
The moral of this story is ladies and gentlemen that if you genuinely don't care and insist on cancelling they will offer you a good deal...ofcourse in 3-6 months the nice people at Sky will get a phonecall from me to cancel it all over again! Hope this helps someone in the same position...be strong!"Whoever said money can't buy happiness simply didn't know where to go shopping."

Sky+ installation- the sky installer will put another cable line from your dish to the main box. So you will have two lines going into your sky+ box. He will also want to reconnect your telephone line to box if it has been disconnected. You do not have to do this if you do not want too as you are not going for multi room. Then put in new sky+ and test the system. Welcome to sky+ Fantastic system.

Should be interesting as the dish is quite a way away from the sky point in the living room. Do you know whether they can take the cable around the outside of the house and then through the wall or something, otherwise we'll end up with a cable trailing through our newly built conservatory and living room which will look pretty unsightly I guess.0 -
I currently have Sky+ and multiroom with my old digibox from downstairs. I rang up to get the 2nd box upgraded to a sky+ box and they said it would cost me £99 for the box and £60 for installation because they had to install a new dish or some crap. I said forget it then and he offered me the box for £49 and then said if I took out another multiroom subscription the installation would be free. I was happy with that so now I have sky+ in two rooms and normal sky digi in another room, 3 boxs altogether, I'm happy0

Can i ask all sky experts if ive added this correct, fed up elsewhere im looking at sky and would like please if someone could confirm price or point out any errors or anything ive missed - new customer.
TV - 4 mixes at £18 (1/2price for 3 months)
Would like multiroom am i right in thinking its same price to have multiroom as it is to have the sports and movies added?
Broadband free on the 2 mb with £40 activation fee with free modem?
Bt line reinstalled £125 fee then line rental of £11 add to that £5 to sky for unlimited calls?
Would there be any other fees for instalation or for the second box or do you only need 1 box for multiroom and use a transmitter to send to the other room?
Sorry for all these questions as i have never had sky before and need a price to give to hubby on the savings against t.w.
All advice most welcome;)The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
