sky/sky + deals for existing customer

Options
I just phoned Sky to cancel. I was offered 25% discount for the 12 months - which I gratefully accepted.

I then asked about Sky +. I was told this would be £99 + £60 install (no install fee if I got multiroom - not interested in that though). I did try to haggle on the price but they wouldn't budge.

Has anyone got a Sky+ deal better than that (as an existing customer)?

  • Yup, although they have probably got wise to it now.

Try ringing early on in the week.

How long have you been with sky? more than a year? I have been with them for 6 months only.
  • I got the 25% off for a year after telling them I was fed up with only new customers getting the offers!

I had sky+ installed on Saturday past and all it cost me was £49. When I 1st called I was quoted the £99, and just said I wasn't paying that, 2 minutes later I was offered it for £49.
Even the engineer said to never pay what they ask!
  • I have recently received a come back to Sky offer.

Free refurbished Sky+ box, free installation and any package 1/2 price for six months.

:T It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice. :T

  • We`ve been with sky for 10 years £36 a month and for the last few weeks we have had problems recieving a lot of the channels. I know that if I ring to cancel they will waive the fee of £65 to send an engineer out to fix it. Does the engineer replace dish and box or just repair and would the work be guaranteed for 1 year?

Or if I was to haggle for sky+ do you get a new box and dish anyway?

Anyone any ideas - many thanks
  • Just been on to sky - said I was reviewing my fiances and that a mate had been offer 25% discount for 12 months. They gave me 25% off for a year without even a fight so thank you to the origional poster.
Phone 08000510317 for a free phone number then head for the turn around option.
