What about Sky HD, anyone had a deal on this. My box has bust and think it would be best to jump straight to HD rather than just Sky+0

Not heard of any deals on it yet, think it ia £299 but not sure if that is including installation
I think you get Sky+ built in to the HD box so it may be worth going to SKY HD if you can get the price down as at least you with get the SKY+ option as well0 -

I said I have been with Sky for 10 years which they verified and felt as a loyal customer I was not getting the appreciation I deserve
They offered me Sky+ for £79 new box and installation . I have signed as I cant see that I will get a better deal especially as I have seen Sky+ and its good
That sounds like the best deal with Sky + at the moment. I'll ring again tomorrow and see if I can get something similar. The guy wouldn't budge for me because he'd given me the 25% discount - he wasn't going to give me both.0 -
Just rang sky as I've been on full package for years and was having to review finances.
Thy said I could either have 3mths at half price with no contract, 20% off for 12mths no contract, or 25% for 12mths but with 12mth contract, looks as if they have a lot of offers if you just ask, I wish I had done this earlier and saved a few pennies0 -
I've just phoned to cancel (again) and was offered half price for 6 months (again). All thanks to this site, i would never have known about it otherwise. Thanks a lot everyone.:pwould like to make it known it is not a DHN, she's dancing
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.:A0 -
Well I just tried and was told all I could do to save money was to down-grade my package!
Wasnt offered anything at all!!
(just out of my 12 month contract as well.....)

I know that if I ring to cancel they will waive the fee of £65 to send an engineer out to fix it. Does the engineer replace dish and box or just repair and would the work be guaranteed for 1 year?
Or if I was to haggle for sky+ do you get a new box and dish anyway?
Anyone any ideas - many thanks
My parents sky box kept crashing so we rung to cancel. They waived the engineer fee but would not budge on our request for a sky+ box. They said they could not offer it for nothing. They agreed that if the box couldn't be repaired they would supply a new one free of charge.
The first engineer said the signal was poor due to the trees in their garden and advised my parents to prune all the trees. He then touched the sky dish and lost the signal completely and said there was nothing he could do - "the trees are your problem, not Sky's".
We rang Sky to complain he'd made the problem worse and they sent another engineer out. This engineer raised the dish a foot and the box now works perfectly.0 -
I have been a subscriber to the Family Package for years (currently £21), I called them the other day and told them I wanted all the packages and wanted them cheap. I managed to get them all for 3 mths at half of the normal price. so for the next 3 months I get everything for £21.75. bargin.
Do you think they'll give me another offer at the end of this 3 mths then ? any suggestions ?0 -

Make sure that you check your next dd as I did this last month and when the dd came out a couple of days ago, they had charged us the full price for the movies and sports and also half the normal as we changed over half way through a month, therefore we were charged £65!!!! This was because the deal wasn't put onto our account and they had no record of this. Anyway after a two hour conversation and being put through to cancellations, they agreed to credit the £65 to our account for the next 3 months.0
