If i went out and bought a sky+ box from a pal and plugged it in would it work?Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0

Have had my sky+ fitted yesterday
But, they used the old skycard that I was hoping to use in the old sky box in another room. Is this what usually happens, as I was under the impression that I'd get another card? Can anyone advise?0 -

just rang sky on the freephone number 08000560939 which was sky card who put me through no problems
after speaking to the operater and telling her i want to cancel for financial reasons and want to move to ntl for a cheaper deal i was offered a deal on a 12 month contract25%off the full package making this £31.80
or a 6 month deal no contract @25%off
because i don't really want ntl as i have it already in another room and don't like it much and i didn't want to leave sky i have taken the 12month offer saving me £130 a year and it doesn't affect any offer of sky+/skyhd/broadband which may be during the next 12 months

that free fone number is for Sky credit card, and she wouldn't put me through :rolleyes:0

Got through on another number. I asked how much notice i had to give to cancel the sky subscription, the lady told me 30 days notice. She asked me why i wanted to cancel, and i told her I wasn't really watching it. To my surprise, she didn't offer me any deal at all.
Anyway, I have basic 2 packages , if I cancel, will i still receive the normal freeview channels?? Please reply someone, I don't want to cancel if I loose the freeview channels as my house ariel is not working properly.0 -

You have to have two lines from your sky box into the back of the sky+ box to get the dual recording facility. Then all you need to do is phone sky and ask them to switch on the skY+ recording. This is FREE as long as you have two premium channels. e.g movies 1 and 2 or sports 1 and 2, or you pay £10 a month for it.0
