I took my skycard out to see what it left me with with no card at all. As far as I can see, we still get all the above apart from Ch4, Ch5, sky3 and film4. I'd have to pay £20 to get another card out of sky to pick up those channels. Think DD can live without them! The main one is cbeebies that causes most of the aggro so as long as that one is working that's the main thing for me0 -

Will they run a telephone wire from the hall up the stairs and round doors into the room (about 18m)? Also do they run another cable from the dish into this room or is it run from the original point in living room?
Had the same work done recently, you get a new LNB, thats the bit that sticks out from the dish, they run a new cable from the dish to where the Sky+ box will be, this cable is like 2 cables stuck together, so they may have to enlarge any holes through skirting boards etc. to fit the thicker cable through. They will run a brand new cable, also from the dish, to where the spare box is and as this has to be connected to a phone line too, will also run a phone lead up to it.
Sky do charge extra for non-standard installation, you should receive about 4 letters prior to them installing it, one of them details the extra charges but I think you should be ok.0 -
I recently recommended a friend to Sky with the insentive of £50 in vouchers to me. They've said it'll be up to 28 days delivery, but I assume that's the very top-end of the estimate, so has anyone else had these and how long did they take to arrive? Thanks.0

Hi
We phoned up for a sky+ deal on 4th October, best we were offered was the £79 deal and would not move on that, so we went ahead and cancelled hoping to get offered something better before the 30 days notice was up. I sent an email a few days ago asking if that was their last offer before I went ahead and signed up with ntl, they replied saying I could have it for just £49! I have sent a reply saying if they can do me a discount on their viewing packages then I will sign up again. So overall quite pleased!

Just been offered 25% discount for six months with no actual contract.
I'll just ring them again in the spring for another deal :TQuotes in context only please.0 -
I have been sitting in all day waiting for Sky+ to be installed (was told it would be between 12.00 and 3.00) and have just had a phone call to say the engineer hasnt turned up and they cant find a replacement. Have got to take another day off work next Friday.
Do you think I can claim anything back from Sky for a lost day?0 -

How extremely annoying. I would certainly try emailing customer care or even James Murdoch to complain. You may well end up with a goodwill credit on your account.0 -

No harm in trying, If they broke an agreement, you must be entitled to something.Quotes in context only please.0
