I can understand the points you raised in the post above the one you quoted me,but dont you dare be so presumptious and patronising, you weren't there, you *do not* know the level of my *disability* and after all if you are that defensive of these *pervy* guys then all i can say is it must take one to know one. Oops am sorry I am insinuating something here that I can't possibly know anything about as I do not know you....
I am asking for this thread to now be closed,as it has gone far enough. You sound like an intelligent person but I feel youhave been far too judgemental of a situation you were not in. Sometimes when having to write thiongs down they come across a lot different to how you would say things.
By the way In am too young to know who Mr Humphries is :-)
i would find it very difficult even after our joint extensive training on body language to deduce much from someones actions working behind a till in asda.
true i wasn't there, but i've not come on a nationally renowned website and put quite serious accusations into the public domain relating to a blue chip companies employee.
if i worked for the company you have named and your allegations had been substantiated, the person concerned would be heading down the disciplinary process not the retraining one. to guage the situation correctly i would have to hear ,what you would imagine would be contrary evidence from the checkout operator. (unfortunately the internet lets people say what they want and be what they want)
on face value i would have difficulty understanding how an 'effeminate man' (a term you introduced)was leering over a pregnant woman and licking his lips at whatever thought he possesed about your good self.
it doesn't make sense
btw Mr Humphries was played by John Inman0 -

I have been to a supermarket today, and i have never been so insulted. I just finished putting all my shopping, 1 egg, 1 rasher of bacon, 1 small tin of beans, 1 small loaf, 1 chicken breast, 1 meal deal for 1 and a bottle of vimto onto the conveyor, when the girl behind checkout looked at me and said quite matter of factly "your single arnt you"? I said "how can you tell"?

wait for posters asking have you reported this , how disgusting etc etc as the tumbleweed blows past0

cant believe how many times it has been mentioned that the lad was effeminate! if the original poster was bothered by this (she must have been to mention it) i am equally offended by her comments.
her comment of - i dont mind that sort of thing, is just as crazy - what sort of thing? effeminate men? gay people?
this was blatent homophobia.
this is seperate to the issue of the bad service which is obviously unacceptable.0 -
Most of my pals are in fact gay,so dont call me homophobic I am actually goigng to a gay wedding next month with my family so dont think the above post applies to me.
I think you all need to get a life instead of disecting one post which yes there prob a few words that could have been changed, but I dont hide behind editing of the first post (except maybe to spell check). the situation has been resolved,he is in no trouble so at the end of the day all's well that ends well.
My husband in fact said i should have dealt with it immediately although he was angry.
You can still be an effeminate male and fancy females,as I think one post questioned. I believe a lot of transexuals are married and fancy woman a lot tehy just enjoy the thrill of cross dressing,I dont see no harm in this. I was just describing the whole picture of the person in my original post. So go disect that now.

you seem to be getting in a bit of a muddle about gender , sexuality etc...also going to a gay wedding doesn't give anyone immunity from being homophobic.
anyway in your description of the checkout operator we didn't ascertain his hair/eye colour , height and weight...all we know so far is he was effeminate ..even though we're not sure how this manifested itself in the actions he could perform behind a check-out.0 -
Dear hammy,
Please give your pedantic and utterly pointless baiting of the OP a rest. You’ve been told several times that the issue is now resolved and the matter closed; yet your incessant griping continues. It serves only to make you look like a rather pathetic bore with a personal vendetta.
Please stop.
You have single-handedly made an otherwise quite interesting thread into one that is tedious in the extreme.
Thanking you in anticipation.
Happy to see you have the matter resolved bexxie90.

dear painty
frankly it is absolutely none of your business what i post on here.
sorry, but however tediously i post i won't accept discrimination in whichever shape and form i come across it on these boards.
if you're happy to go along with it ,that's fine, but expect some debate on it.
i didn't see any forthright views from yourself about 'badging' disabled people ...is the jury still out on that one with you?
one of the down sides of the internet is that people can anonomously become who they want , for whatever motive , with changing agendas , distortion of the truth and sometimes unbelievable and of course uncorroborated supporting evidence.
you can actually guess what's coming half the time! no mention of it in any other post on the thread and then wham
you're discussing the demise of the 'lesser known bolivian sea-snail' and someones struggling with the subject and then after 10 posts they announce that you are definitely wrong because their Dads a professor of sea-snail microbiology' and by the way their dads bigger than your dad.
of course be careful of saying "my dads bigger than your dad" because wham ....they'll say "you ******* he died last night" .....then 4 weeks later he'll be brought back to life in another thread as an HR manager at a large firm who has told them blah, blah ,blah and completely vindicates their post.
that's t'internet for you.
as someone else has unfortunately found (one of many) the last resort tactic is often the spelling and grammar police .....i await a visit.
we'll never know how this was resolved (see above) ...a large company such as this won't discuss the detail of what actions they are taking. you don't know whether the checkout operator is facing a disciplinary that could result in dismissal , whether they were on a trial period that will be terminated at its end or whether they have looked at it and are going to do diddly squat about it.
i'm glad the chicken episode was resolved amicably though.
now painty i must admit i have spent too long on this thread and don't propose to post on it any more (not withstanding any more discriminatory comments ).
hopefully you aren't the 'stalking' type
i also have less time to look on here as i'm showing bill gates how to get more out of his computer and helping my dad train for the worlds strongest man contest.
honest ...you can ask my uncle the crown court judge0
