Thanks smos58 for the contructive advise (and Starkraving, Brendan Townsend & others)... I've tried to be patient with this company, after a few communications last week give them the benefit of the doubt, and this week - left numerous messages and e-mails cancelling my order and requesting my money back... to which I still get no response....
I beleive some people on this forum have recd their goods from this company, but I'm not willing to wait a further month wondering if and when my order will be met.
So I come onto this forum to seek advise as to my next steps to taking this further. So my next step is to send a recorded delivery letter, to formally cancel and request my money back.0 -
I know none of you will beleive me however I do not care as I am so happy my mum's present has arrived and I dont have to beg, steal and borrow to get her another one. Obviously due to my learning disabilities I am then not english and that means I work for or am related to people that work for utopia. Oh well I would like to thank everyone of the newbie for not jurying my poor spelling and the lack of paragraphs, aswell as giving me hope!
Hope everyone has a great christmas0 -
ARGUER: Come in.
MAN: Ah, Is this the right room for an argument?
ARGUER: I told you once.
MAN: No you haven't.
ARGUER: Yes I have.
MAN: When?
ARGUER: Just now.
MAN: No you didn't.
ARGUER: Yes I did.
MAN: You didn't
ARGUER: I did!
MAN: You didn't!
ARGUER: I'm telling you I did!
MAN: You did not!!
ARGUER: Oh, I'm sorry, just one moment. Is this a five minute argument or the full half hour?
MAN: Oh, just the five minutes.
ARGUER: Ah, thank you. Anyway, I did.
MAN: You most certainly did not.
ARGUER: Look, let's get this thing clear; I quite definitely told you.
MAN: No you did not.
ARGUER: Yes I did.
MAN: No you didn't.
ARGUER: Yes I did.
MAN: No you didn't.
ARGUER: Yes I did.
MAN: No you didn't.
ARGUER: Yes I did.
MAN: You didn't.
ARGUER: Did.
MAN: Oh look, this isn't an argument.
ARGUER: Yes it is.
MAN: No it isn't. It's just contradiction.
ARGUER: No it isn't.
MAN: It is!
ARGUER: It is not.
MAN: Look, you just contradicted me.
ARGUER: I did not.
MAN: Oh you did!!
ARGUER: No, no, no.
MAN: You did just then.
ARGUER: Nonsense!
MAN: Oh, this is futile!
ARGUER: No it isn't.
MAN: I came here for a good argument.
ARGUER: No you didn't; no, you came here for an argument.
MAN: An argument isn't just contradiction.
ARGUER: It can be.
MAN: No it can't. An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition.
ARGUER: No it isn't.
MAN: Yes it is! It's not just contradiction.
ARGUER: Look, if I argue with you, I must take up a contrary position.
MAN: Yes, but that's not just saying 'No it isn't.'
ARGUER: Yes it is!
MAN: No it isn't!
ARGUER: Yes it is!
MAN: Argument is an intellectual process. Contradiction is just the automatic gainsaying of any statement the other person makes.
(short pause)
ARGUER: No it isn't.
MAN: It is.
ARGUER: Not at all.
MAN: Now look.
ARGUER: (Rings bell) Good Morning.
MAN: What?
ARGUER: That's it. Good morning.
MAN: I was just getting interested.
ARGUER: Sorry, the five minutes is up.
MAN: That was never five minutes!
ARGUER: I'm afraid it was.
MAN: It wasn't.
Pause
ARGUER: I'm sorry, but I'm not allowed to argue anymore.
MAN: What?!
ARGUER: If you want me to go on arguing, you'll have to pay for another five minutes.
MAN: Yes, but that was never five minutes, just now. Oh come on!
ARGUER: (Hums)
MAN: Look, this is ridiculous.
ARGUER: I'm sorry, but I'm not allowed to argue unless you've paid!
MAN: Oh, all right.
(pays money)
ARGUER: Thank you.
short pause
MAN: Well?
ARGUER: Well what?
MAN: That wasn't really five minutes, just now.
ARGUER: I told you, I'm not allowed to argue unless you've paid.
MAN: I just paid!
ARGUER: No you didn't.
MAN: I DID!
ARGUER: No you didn't.
MAN: Look, I don't want to argue about that.
ARGUER: Well, you didn't pay.
MAN: Aha. If I didn't pay, why are you arguing? I Got you!
ARGUER: No you haven't.
MAN: Yes I have. If you're arguing, I must have paid.
ARGUER: Not necessarily. I could be arguing in my spare time.
MAN: Oh I've had enough of this.
ARGUER: No you haven't.
MAN: Oh Shut up.

Hi, what can I Do?
I ordered one of these hoovers on december 4th. I got the email about the card system not working, Thought nothing of it and paid via my online banking. I have emailed and get no reply after the initial email about the system being down.
I called the number listed earlier on this thread [I think it was for the accountants] and got laughed at and told to go away.
So I agree, this is some sort of a con. The police have taken the details, but my bank can't help as I paid via bank transfer.
So please do not be taken in, I am sure if this was some genuine mistake I would not have experienced what I did on the call yesterday.
I will now follow advice given by the police, never use BACS unless it is to somebody you know, and only use REPUTABLE online firms.
On the plus side I found the same machine on ebay only used a few times much cheaper.0 -
Dear all,
First sorry if my typing is poor, I am on a train typing on an iphone.
Anyway, my suggestion is simple, if this is a fraud, there should still me a vast number of victims watching this in hope. Please add a post and state the current position re your order, ie paid via bacs and no response, product etc.
If somebody has reported the fraud to the police, (best Suffolk direct) they should have a contact number and crime ref number. I would suggest all further reports are referenced to this. That will add much more weight to it.
The problem is (if this is a fraud) some people have received their Dyson. [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM] it would be harder to prove a criminal deception at the point he took your money if he is able to show he has fulfilled orders but due to 'unforeseen' weather, stock etc could not complete. The police/CPS would be included to conclude it's a civil debt and refer you to small claims - most would not bother.
Now this is all relevant if it is a fraud, however my order number was in the mid 1000's (I do not wish to give the number as it would ID me.)
What I suggest that means is that if it is a fraud there are probably over a 1000 victims, where are they? This thread comes up if your search google for the company, it would probably have lots of viewers, so if you are a victim, please join and post.
If this is not a fraud, then may I suggest some posters consider their entry and potential for a Libel case - hence my vagueness and earlier retraction.
Good luck

To add, I got mine, after just shy of 3 weeks and pester.0

You seem very interested in this companies reputation Karlos, Asking for me to reference the crime number yet you wont give out your order number!
I do have a crime reference number, from a police station in Greater Manchester. I wont be posting it on here though.
I, Like some others on here, I am unsure if the posts claiming to have recieved items are genuine or not. I got sworn at and laughed at when I called the number posted on here, and told to go away, Everyone else seems to have "got their way". Why the different attitude towards me?0 -
I have also sent 8 emails between the email they sent asking for bank transfer payment, and now, and had NO reponse at all.
If it was a genuine error they would have responded to at least one.0 -
Hi, I am not interested in the number, I am trying to be helpful!
If a fraud, please let me know, I think I know what I talking about! I am an Met Police DI!!
If anybody wants to question that, private message me and call me via Scotland Yard (find the number on web - it end 1212) private message me, I will give you my ext, I will be in office about midday Tom. I will however only give the number to an MSE stalwart.

PS GMP will be slightly less than interested!0
