Whilst something is going on with Utopia and it may not be an ultimate rip off, there is something to warn consumers about. I'm not going to stop being critical or dissecting posts because of a few people that are annoyed.
And nice language. Really beefs up your argument.
Certainly, warn consumers, but don't call me a liar. I came to help, just like you... not to help Utopia, they got into business and are doing badly by the looks of it, so we don't need worry about them... I came to try and help to reassure people that all was not lost, based on my experience, and I get branded a one timer / liar / etc as a result... so, I see my language and I raise you one, oh ye character judge...0 -
I am also a stupid idiot to fall for this quite convincing con. Having spoken to a person at the end of the telephone I was convinced! Stupidly? I have now taken it upon myself to report this company and my purchase as a fraud! They have also been reported to watch dog and Trading Standards! I will also after 30 days be taking it upon myself to attempt a civil recovery through the courts under Distance Selling Regulations Act. If you are the accountant acting on behalf of this company then be aware that you will be recieving many claims in the forthcoming weeks im sure. No answer to e-mails, no answer to telephone, nothing but bad reports on internet and no goods to show.
Not impressed and should have known better!
Failing that i will come and kick your !!!!!!.0 -
Hey scammed.. when did you place your order? (Just asking as ours took about 6 days)0

I give up on this thread, i get the feeling all these new posters who have bucked the trend and are saying "we havent got ours" after we got wise to the same posting styles under different names writing the same thing about getting theirs, are probably a reverse psychology attempt by utopia, and will all be back in a week saying "it worked, by threatening watchdog etc i got mine" so again sadly people will believe it and be conned.
until the second original poster comes back on and says he got his im sticking firm that its a scam
PEOPLE- PLEASE DO NOT SEND MONEY TO THESE PEOPLE VIA BACS, NO MATTER WHAT YOU READ HERE. DONT EVEN USE DEBIT CARD:AT LEAST WITH A CREDIT CARD YOU CAN CHARGEBACK WHEN YOUR MYSTERY DYSON DOESNT TURN UP!!!0 -
haha... at least you make me laugh, that's good.. :-|
So you're waiting for "stormjohn" to come back?0 -
So Loztiggy your giving up on this thread? But why? some suggest its because the fairies at the bottom of the garden are all spies for John or Anthony. Otherwise is it because all new posters are "in on the scam" have bad grammer and not all of them know how to put a picture on these forums or their delivered item with a teabag on the dyson box.
I am from Burgess Hill i do exist and im not related to or connected to Utopia.
My Dyson arrived as promised.I run a car breakers website nothing to do with office supplies.
If it makes you and the other conspiracy theory old hands feel better, I MUST OWN UP . Actually im a spy for my uncle Anthony/john Esingger i was handed a rather handsome £25 in used notes to reply to adverse comments about Utopia on these forums.
I do employ fairies at the bottom of the garden and i dont even know what a Dyson dc31 animal actually manufactures.0 -

Can we get this forum back on track please?
It’s about whether Utopia is a business that buyers should be trusting their money to. Is it a risk free opportunity?
These forums cannot prove whether Utopia or any poster on here is genuine or otherwise... However we can voice our opinions (hopefully politely and constructively).
From reading this forum, it would be fair to say that the Utopia business model is very risky, that punters should avoid buying while Utopia is unable to process credit cards, and certainly while they are unable to fulfil orders efficiently.
Secondly, some posters claim they have received the goods they paid for, some more quickly than others. It also is clear that many, from reading this and other forums, have not yet received anything. It is a matter of choice what readers wish to believe.
Some post on here to give hope to those who paid cash and are still waiting, that’s fine too. However under distance selling regs you may cancel if a company cannot complete the order in a reasonable time. Trading Standards will advise that you send written confirmation of the cancellation, preferably recorded delivery. Utopia then has 30 days in law to return your money.
I shall ask for my money back.0 -

I have a Dyson (well, my wife does.. but I use it most!) that I got after much consternation, from Utopia.. it did arrive, they will never see my business again due to lack of communication.
I won't comment again unless asked, but I do hope the doubters bother to do some research into the people they suggest are liars next time..
