JD to answer your earlier question, I am not using this forum as a 'professional' but as a customer. I do not want to post my contact details or give them out freely as there are far too many 'vicious' busy bodies on here who control this forum and anybody they do not like they accuse of theft!! I do not have the time of day for them, as far as I can see none are customers/victims of Utopia anyway.
I suspect, the hysteria generated by the few on here will end up producing tlhe result they believe, ie if one person says they did not get their dyson it must be fact that nobody did! Or to put it simpler 'The Emperor's new clothes'
JD also of note, at this time you are the only person currently posting who is without Dyson ordered from them?
Rob, yes your right, but a fraud should be investigated where the deception occurs, also would it be wise for lots of different forces to investigate the same allegation when all the enquiries are in Suffolk? All enquiries (if investigated) will be transferred to Suffolk. If they do not link them, they will write them off (I used to do that all the time with Internet fraud, it is almost impossible to investigate singular offence.)
Good luck everybody, if nobody wants my advice I will attempt to delete/edit my earlier post identifying my trade as I don't want the grief to be honest!

JD,
Good luck, if you have such an email from Utopia, I suspect you have the 'Golden Nugget' which answers most questions asked here.
I am, what I say I am, it does not bother me that you question it. Please ask whoever finally investigates it to contact me via here and I will share my experience with them.
I would suggest that you cancel the card used originally though, just in case (if not done).
Merry Christmas to all.

JD is not the only one posting who hasn't recieved their dyson - and been waiting from begining of December.
Has anyone else got a collection of email addresses for them - for 4 emails I've got 3 different addresses and counting - I'm sure the next one will be from yet another address0 -
Karlos911, I dont see why you would have a problem with people knowing you are a Detective Inspector for Scotland Yard, unless of course you are not. I am sure that is a crime to impersonate.
Anyhow.
I have received an interesting email this morning. Telling me in no uncertain terms to keep my mouth shut about this, and that "I know where you live remember" So I think it is safe to say I wont be getting my hoover from them after all. No matter how furvently you say I shall.
Very interesting language used.
Forwarded immediatley to the police.
Also thanks for the Internet fraud number, I will contact them also incase they run seperate investigations.

I have asked repeatedley for my order to either be sent or my money returned, I have even given them the option of cheque, bacs or cash to return it.
That was when I was laughed off the phone by the "accountants"
Judging by the wording of the email I recieved there was never any intention of sending me the goods.
I really do not know if these other posters are genuine or not, but I know I was had. I am cancelling my credit card anyway as they are mis-charging for things as it is, hope some justice is served to this outfit.0 -
Just to add my input, I have been following this thread for about 3 weeks now after finding it two days after I ordered one of these units in early December and I am in the same position as jd2010 and purpleperile. I haven't had the threatening e-mail yet though which sounds quite alarming. I was hoping that this was simply a badly organised company (one man band) who couldn't cope with the influx of orders for xmas but I'm seriously doubting that now. I'm going to enjoy my xmas and forget about this for now but I won't let it drop and will be following it up later.0

UPDATE !!!! Yesterday, the vacuum cleaner arrived !! 6 weeks after delivery !!!
2 Pieces of advice to anyone in a similar situation.
1. Dont deal with these people
2. If you do, and you have not received delivery, inform them you will report the matter to nfib (above) if you dont get satisfactory resolution within 5 working days, then if you dont, report them to nfib (URL above).
Good luck all and thanks for the other posters on this thread, its done exactly what these social media help spots are supposed to so well done all and well done moderators !!0 -
