  • Thanks for that gizmo111. Well, I had quite a it of bacon for breakfast, which is why my day started off as a red one, and was looking forward to having lamb for dinner! I can just syn the haricot beans, not used many syns at all today, so that should just solve it. I only started to wonder when I began cooking!
    Thanks for your response! :)

Bobcat, if you haven't used 2 of each Healthy Extra yet, why not make it an extra easy day. Then you can have all the meat you want, all the beans you want ... and not have to do any counting or weighing. 'sup to you though ;)

    thank you Slimming World!
  • Thanks blackberry-rum, but I have had all my HEs throughtout the day! As I only started on SW last week, everything is still quite new to me. I'm on red days and green days for now...haven't attempted EE yet! But in simple terms on EE, is each meal 1/3 red, 1/3 green, 1/3 superfree and 1 HEA and 1HEB? Or have I got confused with that?! :o
    Thanks,

    Hi there :)

Not done any body magic though. Not sure how I feel about that - I already work as a barmaid which involves walking and standing on your feet for 25 hours a week, and muck out horses for 4 (which is flipping good cardio IMHO! :rotfl:) so Do I need to be moving more - consultant31, what do you think?

It's perfectly possible to lose weight without exercising at all, but it helps to tone up any wobbly bits as you go :)

Seems to me that you do plenty - it doesn't have to be in a gym to be good exercise.

No, Bobcat, Extra Easy is far easier than that, you are complicating it! See here, where Consultant has written out the Extra Easy plan. You don't have to worry about Reds and Greens at all if you are new to Slimming World - because all the SUPERFREE foods are listed in the first few pages of your book. You need to have one-third of your plate superfree. That's all.

You do get only one HEA and one HEB on Extra Easy; that's because a lot of the Hebs can now be eaten freely as part of Extra Easy, eg potatoes, pasta, meat.

(Reds and Greens are mentioned only for old-time SW-ers, because the Superfree items are certain fruits and vegetables that are free on both plans. These are listed for you in the new Slimming World books, I think Extra Easy has been around for about a year now)

I really hope this helps, because EE is FAR EASIER than reds and greens! Honest!:A

Hi - I would say (briefly) how it works is by re-educating us to make healthy choices in our eating. SW encourages us to make these healthy choices by saying we can eat as much healthy stuff as we like, and by not banning the unhealthy stuff but making us be aware of the unhealthy stuff by limiting how much per day we can have.

It's the way people did eat until about 30 years ago when we all got richer. Lots of vegetables, quite a lot of fruit, chocolate was a special treat and a visit to the pub was rare (and boozing at home was only for Christmas!) :rotfl:
