I suspect you're all watching X Factor at the mo, but I hope everyone finds the new thread here :D

Edited post to add this official guide to Extra Easy Plan:
Extra Easy:

1: Choose your Free Food

Anything that’s Free Food on Green OR Original – so that’s pasta, rice, potatoes, lean meat, poultry, fish and all the Superfree food – is totally Free on Extra Easy! Yes, you can eat unlimited meat, potatoes and veg, fish, chips and mushy peas, and chicken curry and rice with no measuring, no weighing, no counting – no kidding!
And for super-fast, super healthy results, fill one third of your plate with Superfree Food!
2: Choose your Healthy Extras

Each day select one Healthy Extra ‘a’ choice and one Healthy Extra ‘b’ choice from our simplified list of calcium and fibre-filled foods, including milk, cheese, bread and cereal.
3: Enjoy 5-15 Syns each day

And if the Syn values for Green and Original foods are different on the standard Syns lists, count the lower one!

If you find your weight loss has slowed down or stopped, check………
1. Whether everything you're counting as Free, is Free

2. Whether you're under-estimating Syn values (over-estimate if guessing)

3. Whether you're counting everything that should be counted

4. Whether you're measuring everything that should be measured

5. Whether you're sabotaging your success in any other way (using SAS logs will help uncover individual long-term self-sabotage patterns) and, if none of these is the culprit, either...........

A: increase the proportion of Superfree Foods to half of your plate

OR

B: switch to more Speed Foods

And above all, if you follow the plan, any plan, 100% you will lose weight!

I let my mind wander and it never came back!

It's the rubbish bits that make me laugh most lol.

Christmas yes.......I hate the thought, but it's coming like it or not ;)

There are (so I'm told) 16 weeks to go so at a nice, steady rate, we can look forward to losing between 1 and 2 stone relatively easily. It only breaks down to around 1½ lbs a week so come on ladies (and any gents out there) we can do it and with help and support we will do it :j

Ah, we have moved. Oh no, the Christmas has been mentioned, groan...
  • Just in case anybody hasn't been able to find this before, or for any newbies who're confused, this is a copy of the first post on the last thread:

The Original and Green plans are still going strong but most people may well have heard of the new Extra Easy plan which is sweeping through the land :) If you've ever wondered if it works, I promise you it does. If you've ever wondered how it works - well the science confuses me, but I would just say to trust the experts at SW, they wouldn't send you on the wrong path.

If you fancy having a go at it, here are the official 'rules' to ensure that you not only lose weight regularly but get all the nutrition your body needs to function well:-

I'm here too, I don't watch all that X factor/strictly/on ice/got talent reality stuff. I have to admit I don't really 'get' it, why do some people want to humiliate themselves and why do others want to watch it? But hey each to their own, I love horror films but friends of mine think thats just too weird.

Sorry :o I'm usually the one groaning at the mention, but it is a time when lots of people get the urge to lose some weight so they can break out the LBD for the festivities.

    xx

  • Hey

Thanks for the tips on the mess up of a meal plan for tomorrow!! And also for the dissapointing yet helpful advice on the 'not so slimming - slimming world crisps' booooo haha....just looking for an excuse to eat something nice!!

Having said that my OH has lost 7lbs and i put 2lb on  now thats annoying when we have had exactly the same food!!!

X Factor watching - gotta love it!!
  • It is also my birthday in December so a double reason for me!

Very nervouse I have my first weigh in on Monday, not a subscribed member of SW yet but been trying to follow a plan this past week.

I made a comitment to hubby to lose 10% of my bodyweight by mid October (which is when our 10th wedding anniversary will be).

Have been :j exercising via exercise bike in our spare room for 4 x 15 minutes a day (thanks to the radio for encouragement lol) and clocking up 400 KCals burnt every day! I [STRIKE]am[/STRIKE] used to be a couch potato which is where all the weight crept on :o

I weighed 11 stone 10 lb on 30th August and my 10% goal is 10st 5lb (if I figured it out correctly) by 14th October  Although I am trying to convice myself if I dont succeed the challenge by ANY loss is a great start and wont be dissapointed 'cos I failed.

Have just got my copy of this months SW mag which has some scrummy looking recipies in it :T

Hope everybody is well and doing ok.
Failure is only someone elses judgement.
Without change there would be no butterflies.
If its important to you, you'll find a way - if not, you'll find an excuse ! ~ Easy to say when you take money out of the equation!
