Does anybody know why Asda 55g wholemeal pitta bread is a HEB choice and Tesco is 81/2 syns - ??
Sorry but the asda ones are no longer a HEB - the ones in store now are a different brand and size and with different ingredients (less fibre)
SW are really bad at keeping the site up to date so it still shows online
The co-op ones are a new HEB though if you want pitta bread0 -
I am so blissed out after the weekend its untrue. The meditation workshop was sooo informative and, well, life changing to experience; the tibetan buddist monastry so peaceful yet full of wonderful atmosphere and energy, the food was utterly amazing and the company great
I really shifted and downloaded some emotional stuff too, which I strongly believe is linked with our physical health, so hoping that will help with the slimming amongst other things.
Its nigh on impossible to follow the buddist prayers (especially when its 6am) but I still have the sound of them rumbling around my head and its very soothing. Oo om ah noogra dooba.... or however it goes
Wasn't particularly on or off the waggon really. They eat very light suppers, so had HM soup both days but 2 slices of B&B with the first one (I hadn't eaten since 11am and was staaaaarvin!), brekkie was porridge with all sorts of nice bits to pick and mix in (dates, sultanas, seeds etc - high in syns but still healthy), and lunch 1 was a beancurd stir fry, lunch 2 the most amazing moussaka but made with lentils not mince - will be trying to work out that recipe very shortlyplus coffees and the occasional small chocolate bar or fruit & nut bake thingy. Thought overall although over syns it was reasonably SW friendly.
I have the ingredients for Dyno and tomato soups in stock, plus a couple of stews in the freezer, so and going to really plug on with those ans therefore superfree foods for the next few days.
I trust everyone survived the weekend fairy-free?Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -

MrsM you amaze us as always :T:T:T:T Thanks for the recipes I WILL get round to having a go, just need to make sure I have the ingredients in
WI for me and the 2lb gained last week has gone again but as someone else said I find the naughty stuff effects the following week so expecting a gain then. Will do my best to stick to plan as back to work after half term. I find it easier at work. Funny how I can resist all the goodies in the staff room but not at home.
My darling hubby has bought me not 1 but 4 longline jumpers, he said its to make up for not having the dosh to spoil me last Christmas and our silver wedding anniversary. We're also going out for lunch today as well. So am doing well what with the jumpers and my snow boots he bought last week. The jumper I'm wearing today is VERY clingy so can't afford to gain too much without it showing :rotfl:
Carvery for lunch so shouldn't do too much damage [depends if I have pudding].
Sorry for waffling but you all know how I feel, losing weight/new clothes and such, I just bore my family with it so don't get the same positive feeling.
Thank you my friends :A:A:A:A0 -

Ie. alpen light bars - I can't afford to buy these at £1.60 for 5 (where 2 is a HE), i get the asda ones - they're similar in calories, carbs, protein and fibre. Fair enough if you eat 4 alpen lights a day but i don't, so will keep doing this. Ditto for pitta breads, i count 1 brown pitta as 1 brown pitta, whatever brand it is. I struggle with the expense of a healthy diet enough as it is without things like this!0

Can anybody please help me:(
I started a new job this week and my routine has completely gone. In my last job I used to have Ready Brek in my morning break (HE A&B), lunch was a jacket or pasta and a bit of fruit and then at afternoon break I would have a yoghurt and fruit etc.
My new job means I have only 1/2 hour lunch (no other breaks in the day) and if I'm in the office a kitchen with only a kettle and sink
On some days I will be out and about all day in different places (support worker) so I can take a flask with Soup but I really don't think I will last long on soup every day. Although, I will take a couple more breaks, i'll just have to tell them I was doing my paper work or "networking"
Does anybody have any ideas on how to keep on plan? Any sort of things I can take out with me. I have a bag of apples and satsumas in the car but they look really unappetising, especially in the cold weather.0 -

It's tricky when work patterns change, hope it goes ok. Im a support worker but in a College so can get hot food - do struggle if I forget food as Im vegan.Dont drive so lug a cool bag of food round and a flask.
Always keeping snacks in the car is good - I eat my soya yoghurts and fruit in the day - lots of different ones for variety, I also take flasks of soup - if you add beans/lentils it really bulks it out into a filling soup. I also make SW rice pudding and have a small tub of that some days as I like it hot and cold.
Cant help with any non veggie foods but I take food flasks with left over stew/pasta in - wont keep mega hot but will be warm.
People here say mugshots are fab - only need a kettle for those.
Another option is to find a take out place for a jacket spud and beans etc but that adds up price wise.
Once you are settled in could you suss out if there are any other staff who might want to chip in and buy/share a cheap basic microwave? I know our current one was £29.
I find the trick is to always have those syn free/low syn filling snacks like pasta salads/fruit/yoghurts about and if cold mugshots/soup. I know if I can survive the day on that set up I can have a nice hot meal in the evening.Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.
