I don't know if anyone can explain how I have eaten loads more than usual, including far too many syns and I have lost another 2 lbs.

I am going to bodyoptimise properly today.

My theory is that it your syns catch up with you in a week or so;) It's not like you put the weight on instantly. You can try to chase some of them away with exercise but I'm sure they catch up in the end.

Lots of you are keen to try the HB quiche. I make a quiche using a mashed potato base, very easy. Even real men like it because it's much more filling than the pastry case variety. For a basic quiche lorraine type: the base, onions, bacon and eggs would be free on EE. You just need to add the syns difference between your HE allowance and what you use in milk and cheese -that's assuming you plan to eat it all yourself!

On the stir fry question: good advice about chilli and ginger, certainly gives it a lovely kick. Chinese five spice is good too. I've been adding a little bit of stock to substitute for the sherry I would normally add. I often marinate my meat first which makes it full of flavour and I don't always use raw meat. I often just use up a bit of beef or chicken or pork left from a roast. I do my noodles separately and stir in at the last minute. Rice noodles are really easy (just soak in boilng water for a few minutes) but we've been enjoying Batchelors Golden Rice lately as a change. Totally syn free meal on EE, loads of superfrees and really yummy!

How do you do this - do you boil & mash the potatoes, bake the quiche base, then add the filling and bake some more?

    Good afternoon all
Well done on the losses foldks ..hello to the newbies and hope all the poorly ones are on the mend :D

Thought I would pop in before I curl up on the sofa and have a zzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
We were up n about early this morning having a 3hr walk around the golf course and then we stopped off at the naafi so i could pick up some more yankee candles (the fragrances on offer swap every month -so I need to swoop) -so I have another 4 to add to the store for bringing home .. anyhoo -whilst I was there I picked up some bits n bobs -some of which are for the freezer :o -Now then ... in my defence -you can't get plain haddock out here for love nor money - and its one of our faves.. well b*gger my ole boots if they didn't have it in the freezer in the naafi today :starmod:so I swiped 3 bags :D-well they probably won't have it in again ..oh and some more lamb steaks, 2 chickemn breasts and 2 beef steaks that were whoopsed :oafter swearing I would work my way through my huge freezer collection

Anyway -my day is going to be a red one and it looks like this,,,,,,
    • 125ml semi (1/2A)
    • banana
    • 2 plums
    • 2 egg omelette with :-
    • onions
    • spring onions
    • 42g cathederal city lighter (A)
    • 2 plums
    • activia intensely (2.5)
    • steamed haddock
    • home made parsley sauce (1/2A + 2)
    • nobbies
    • savoy cabbage
    • carrots
    • fresh pineapple
    • fibre plus (B)
so that will use 2A+1B and 4.5 syns... now I might add some steamed potatoes to dinner to use up my other B -If not then I will figure something out ;)

Well its weigh day tomorrow -doesn't it come around quickly :D..and I have a feeling that * week may be iminent ... so we will see how we go.... there is no great rush after all ...
Anyway -I will finish there and go and get some zzzzzs
I will no doubt be back later
Have a great afternoon all and keep up the great work :D

I have been told that I need to loose weight to ease the problems with my back and PCOS :o
I am going to try and go it alone with the help of here, minimins and facebook!

I am officially starting on Monday, although just weighed myself and am pleased to see I have lost 4.5lb since my last visit to SW x

I have followed SW with success before...and here I am again!!!

I have just got the new magazine and read the success stories and have got some motivation back..that's always the way I get motivated, by rereading magazines!!

So weigh day will be Monday, food planned for the week, going out for a short walk in a bit (I am 22 days Post hysterectomy so it will be a short walk!!)
Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last

Aww hun.....you been having an attack of the food fairies :( It happens to us all at some point :o

Try to think back how you were feeling when you decided you wanted to start SW in the first place?
what gave you that push to jump on the slimming wagon?
how good did you feel after your 1st weeks WI?

Just put the past couple of days behind you, dont dwell on it and start with a clean slate and think how good you're gonna feel when you've lost the weight you want to lose ;) x x
  • Afternoon all

I've had good day so far but know that I will over do it on the alcohol tonight! :o However I do have about 40 syns saved from the week and I've had none yet today so that should help even out the damage.

We are having snacky food at my friends before we go out and I'm taking SW wedges, HM LF potato salad and salady sticks.

  • Tomorrow me and SW friend are off to Whitby for the night - having one meal 'flexisyns' (except i haven't the foggiest what the syns will be, so just one meal uncounted!) and apart from that we will be good :) Have a bag packed to take with me with lots of fruit and a couple of hifi bars!

That didn't quite go to plan... ;):o We were good all day, had the 'one meal' (which was probably about 8000 syns LOL - garlic bread, a creamy pasta, and apple pie), then followed it up with chips on the seafront today :o and hotel brekkie (OJ, 2 rounds of toast with butter, and scrambled eggs) :o:o and full fat coke :o:o:o
