  • Hi there

I am joining SW this week. Can anyone tell me if there are any recipes for slow cookers that are allowed on Slimming World

    Thanks
  • Most basic ingredients are allowed on slimming world, the big no-nos are high fat ingredients like cream and butter, high-fat meat products (so basic fat removed stuff is okay), sugar + processed white flour products. So there will be loads of slowcooker recipes that are absolutely fine on SW :)

I'm planning to make Lasagne for the first time since I joined SW. My white sauce is usually made with cornflour, butter & ss milk and I add some grated cheese into the sauce as well as on top! (more than would be allowed for a week's healthy A's & B's!!)
Can anyone suggest a white sauce with either no syns or very few?
    Thanx!
A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit!:rotfl:
Joined SW 13/9/10 - wanted to lose 56lb and lost 26lb! Rejoined on 9/1/12 having gained 17lb of my loss!!! :(
    Want to lose 50lb. 50 - 8.5 = 41.5 to go!

Evening all! Hope the weekend fairies are behaving!! Tongiht I made some yummy pork ribs using the spicy buffalo sauce recipe that MrsM posted a while back. They were delish!! I cooked the ribs in the slow cooker all day with lots of veg that I turned into soup. I then coated the ribs with the sauce and finished them in the oven.....scrummy!!!

I'm feeling very pleased with myself this week.....I have exercised everyday except for Tuesday so far:

    Monday - 50min walk
Wednesday - 45mins riding (afterwards I was so tired I could barely walk round morrisons to do my shopping!!!)
Thursday - lots of walking while out for the day with mum
    Friday - 50 min walk
    Saturday - 50 min walk

When I say about walking, it's VERY brisk!!! Tomorrow I may well go for a bike ride which is VERY brave for me as I hate riding a bike! I'd like to get into it a bit more as now the clocks are changing I might not have time to do the walk but I can whizz around the same route a bit faster on my treader!!

Survived my flexi syn day at the vegan festival - felt I'd stayed well in control.

Had 2 squares of a new dairy free choc, tasters of a new pate and a soft soya cheese then had soup for lunch with a slice of bread as the other options were all deep fried or wraps/burgers.

Chose one cake - went for a deep choc mud pie! I did not eat the biscuit base - just the mousse type topping that was made from tofu/cocoa powder and agarve syrup. Have no idea how to work out syns but back on track now:T

    Thanks

yup - all of 'em, as long as you remove visible fat from meat and don't add fat or oil when cooking (which you don't need in a slow cooker anyway)

And, except the things Lightisfading mentioned - sugar, cream etc.
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

Tomorrow we are going out for lunch, not sure where yet but I will probably have usual roast cos I love it :D

Good luck with the weekend all, hope its better than mine syn wise :rotfl:

How do you do this - do you boil & mash the potatoes, bake the quiche base, then add the filling and bake some more?

Yes, that's just about it,teecee46 . Doesn't need much baking the first time, I just fork it over a bit to give a rough surface and then bake just enough to dry it a bit so that egg mixture doesn't soak in.
