Good luck everyone. No idea where to start. I can see all my free hours being wasted on this again.0

Yay! New one! No ideas yet, but will have a better look later!
Just as a note - I noticed the other day on another comp that I could see the white writing someone had put (I'm on new version 'less bright' so the background isn't actually white) I think there's a lot of us on this now that we've had to change for the enter button function, so it's probably a good idea to use the spoiler tags this time around, rather than white writing.0 -
I think this is going to be a real stinker - but good to have your company again, so far I'm totally in the dark:o0

For those that don't know, to use the spoiler tags, surround the text you want to hide with[ s p o i l e r ]and [ / s p o i l e r ]Obviously without the spaces.

And to add to the fun, there appears to be a Scottish one as well. I stumbled upon this link when googling Cash Hunt I followed that thinking it might be an additional clue, but alas it was another puzzle. Maybe someone wants to dedicate a thread to it?

Sorry but your Scottish one was September 2009 when there used to be two a month. We solved that one even though there's an error in the clue - North West should have been North East. Thread HERE0 -
OK, on with the show. Here is the transcription for easy quoting of lines later on...

What immediately struck me about all that when transcribing it wasthe change from words to numerals to describe the numbers, especially the last one with a leading zero.
My thoughts:Snless the first line is some form of anagram, battery could refer to an artillery emplacement.
Also H for home here in the ground could possibly refer to the little concrete post that marks a Hydrant. Not as green as I am cabbage looking0 -

Could DO LEG be an anagram of LODGE for the second word of the answer?0
