SoTHREE SPURS, WILL YOU PEEL BACK THE BATTERY OF SHAPE, - Half Moon
A HOLY MAN TROD FROST IN HERE NO MISTAKE. - Bishop's Stortford
2 COLOURS TWAS NAMED, AND WITH LEY YOU WILL SEE, - Whiteley Green
DISCOVER WHERE SAILS TURN AND NIBBLE ON 3. - Goosnargh
Stuffed on the grove. Actually I have been stuffed on most of it - Only got Peel battery because of a brain ripple. Not as green as I am cabbage looking0 -
I think we should be looking at the third dish on the nibbles menu which is olives
Olive Grove fits together I just don't know which Olive Grove we've to go too. Googling it with 'day' doesn't narrow the results down much lol

whiteley can be an anagram of with ley in itself, it seems too obvious, there would have been no point to the first half of the clue.
There is however a Windmill Restaurant (to pick up on someone's suggestion earlier that that's what turning sails refers to) in Whiteley Green, Macclesfield http://www.thewindmill.info/home.php it would also fit with nibble
oops itsinthemail beat me to it
that actually fits perfectly if you think about it...
the half moon pub was the white swan and the green man, take the two colours and stick ley in the middle you end up with white ley green
not sure about the trio of goosnargh either tho - think we need to look towards the nibbles menuIn dreams there are no impossibilities0 -

To be honest, I thought the Nibbles should have been a better fit than the A La Carte, hence my previous comment.
I'm just not 100%, Goosnargh feels better. Not as green as I am cabbage looking0 -

I know technically it's called an orchard when it's apples, but the 'a day' thing got me thinking 'an apple a day', and it's still a grove of apple trees? Could it be something to do with that?
Edit: The Sheffield Wednesday thing makes more sense so ignore this!0 -
I did look at the nibbles menu first, but I thought if it was olives, it would have to be a pub or restaurant? But where? so thats what brought me to the trio of duck
Edit: you can ignore this as well - Sheffield Wednesday does make more sense.0 -
