Which is my point exactly. A quick scan back through two pages would have given you the answer! No body looks for themselves, no body searches, it is far far easier to just ask all the time.

Sorry....pardon....what? Have happily had my head in the clouds for the past few days and ignored the 'thread' concerned.

Must admit, thats what i like about the OS board, most people dont mind if someone has a question, sometimes the search facility doesnt come up with the answer you are after and rather than sit looking through hundreds of threads, its nice for people to feel that they can ask, and someone will be there to help!!!!
  • Well I thought we were over it, but I'm not so sure now. I think Math that the 3 posters above you were trying to make light of things.

If things are going to be rigidly controlled I think I'll be too frightened to post.
Not that I ask many questions, but I do find the search facilities don't seem to work for me. Indeed did we not have "officials" asking for urgent help to find certain threads over the last couple of days?

Not wanting to be difficult, I'll go with the flow, but don't want newcomers being scared off! I've visited the arms a couple of times and come scuttling away!!! They're really scary!

Now where do I post this question. Everyone after ageandjo is missing a thanks button for me????? Oh and I was wrong about posters trying to make light of things, sorry.
You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

I'm happy too - today's diary thread was much more positive that the past few days since this storm broke.

I'd like to second MATH's suggestion that there are some guidelines posted - this would help our board guides too. Since the most popular thread is normally the daily diary one, perhaps some broad guidelines especially for that would be useful...but not too bossy Andrea please...I mean just broad guidelines rather than rules engraved in stone so that new persons get into the swing of it easily.

Thanks for looking into this for us.

I would have thought you need to ask the people who raised the issues on the thread - lots of people will say everything is fine I guess but maybe its the ones who dont post on here that you really need to speak too Andrea
