I sent an email sunday asking for them to confirm im on the program as all i have ever recieved is the text message on the 21st that everyone else got saying "your N8 device will arrive soon" I also asked when I might expect to recieve the device. So far no answer. how long did they take to reply to your emails?

usually about 2 days, so you should get something today.
but strangely when I emailed them monday they replied within 24hrs

Hi,

I've dealt with Nielsen a lot in the past and received my N97 through a promotion the same as this one. They are the leading company in this field and would not 'con' people into believing they are getting the phone.

It's pretty obvious that Nokia are withholding them due to the phone launch being delayed. They are still working on the software and unfortunately we'll have to wait until they are ready.

As I said though, I received an N97 through a similar programme and have also been receiving gift vouchers for almost two years.

I've no doubt whatsoever that we'll get our N8's in the coming weeks.

yer it is obvious it wasn't up to scratch by the launch date. the official line is that the delay is down to overwhelming demand, but how does that delay the launch? it creates a shortage and a delay for anyone ordering now, but no need to withhold stock until there's enough for everyone??

I must be the only person who is not fooled by Neilsons or their ilk. If I wanted a phone pre-loaded with tracking and other unnecessary software, I`d go for a contract phone.
Theres no such thing as a free phone, and if you think that Nokia is going to start distributing £400 handsets as freebies, to Neilson or anyone else, I`m afraid your deluding yourselves. Its a nice idea, but it aint gonna happen.
All last week Neilsons were promising allsorts, but nothing happened.
I still wager that I shall have a lovely brand new N8 in my sweaty palms before any of you Neilsons devotees.
