Well, I'm not going to be sitting next to the letter box this week then. Looks like the Nokia N8 isn't now going to be released until 3rd week in October.
Will keep on using my N97 until then. <switches off and reboots N97 for the 2nd time today>

I had the same problem with my 5800. The problem was with the battrey clips (they had a spring like mechanism) and made poor contacts with the handset pins. It was resolved after I tightened each of the clips with a tweezer.If you want to try it,be careful as to not to short the battery itself.

I haven't received it yet but I sent them an email in reply to theirs saying basically that they said it would be a few days and now its 11 days so where is it.
As soon as i receive it I will let you all know and stick a lovely pic on here as well.
Will also post response to email once received

this is frustrating...its been nearly 3 weeks since I called up Nielsen and had been assured that the phones had been dispatched.....I have begun to think that this is some kind of research or public opinion thingy that Nielsen are carrying out....so that they can understand how eagerly the public are anticipating the release of the N8 or something similar to this!!! Im in a dilemma now whether to actually believe if these guys have sent out the phones......
