I just spoke to the most helpful guy from Neilson, He assured me that I was on the N8 pannel woopeee and also spoke to me regarding the dispatch of devices. From what he said they have installed there software on all the devices and will be sending everyones out monday so we should all recieve them at roughly the same time next week!

He also stated that the delay has been because Neilson have been trying to contact people as a lot of people seem to have given incorrect or incomplete addresses so they have been chasing users foir this information before any are sent!

I hope this helps you all. It certainly made my day!! bring on next week. :T :j

I must be the only person who is not fooled by Neilsons or their ilk. If I wanted a phone pre-loaded with tracking and other unnecessary software, I`d go for a contract phone.
Theres no such thing as a free phone, and if you think that Nokia is going to start distributing £400 handsets as freebies, to Neilson or anyone else, I`m afraid your deluding yourselves. Its a nice idea, but it aint gonna happen.
All last week Neilsons were promising allsorts, but nothing happened.
I still wager that I shall have a lovely brand new N8 in my sweaty palms before any of you Neilsons devotees.

    Nuthins for Nuthin!!

End of the day we shall be getting it for free :rotfl:
    So just get over it.

I will return home from work one day soon to find a UPS (that's the courier they're using) missed delivery note and will be a very happy bunny then!

Kennybase, The last two photo in this link conversations.nokia.com/2010/09/30/nokia-n8-is-shipping-photos/ shows the handsets are being taken by & to the DHL office and not UPS so keep a lookout for a missed delivery note from DHL...

Here's a cracking article I think you'll all enjoy. Basically a reporter slated the N8 in comparison to the iPhone 4. Someone didn't like that too much. Enjoy:rotfl:

Yeah, look out for a DHL note, I sent them an e-mail about something and they told me my delivery has already been arranged with DHL.

This could mean maybe the N8's in the pictures could be ours :D

Nah I was asking if I was able to change my delivery address and they replied with that. . .

If the delivery has already been arranged with DHL I assume they would normally pick them up from the collection point (Nielsens) within 24hrs. That's normally the case with most couriers. It's not like you arrange a package to be collected weeks/days in advance. With any luck they're packed in a nick orange and yellow DHL vehicle on route on next day delivery. It might well be that the software was installed at factory level, I'm sure I saw DHL couriers being used on those Nokia N8 shipped photo's!
