Where abouts did you see that offer in MySky DonnySaver? I too have the 35% offer on my app but can't see anything in my MySky account but perhas I am looking in the wrong place.
From what I've seen they don't tend to give you much more than 50% off, but if you speak to them on live chat they may give you a bit of a bonus. Worth a try!Hi. Hi Chicka
I just logged into MySky account this morning and there it was on the very first page that was displayed after I logged in....
I think I'm gonna take it - wife and kids weren't very happy when I told them I'd cancelled it last night - even though I explained it was all part of the game you have to play with Sky to get the deal you want.0 -
So, I decided to take the 50% off any SKY TV bundle. Was meant to get Family Bundle and Sky Sports (in HD) for £32.75/month - pretty good I thought..
However, as expected I guess, they've messed it up. I'm only getting Sports in SD, not HD. Rang them up and they told me I have to pay another 6 or 7 quid a month to get Sports in HD!!
When I "chatted" to SKY earlier in the day to negotiate my return deal I was explicitly told I would get Sky Sports in HD - otherwise I would not have taken it. Luckily I took a copy of the transcript to prove I asked quite a few times for Sports in HD. I even double-checked with him at the end before proceeding as I knew some c0ck-up might occur somewhere.
So, now I have a complaint opened with them which should get resolved within 48 hours. If not, then looks like I'll be cancelling again! :mad:0 -
From our haggling last year, we've been paying £38 for the complete bundle (Family/Sports/Movies/HD) and multiroom. Gave notice 4 weeks ago, was immediately offered 40% and then 50% off tv subs only. Same offer by phone a few times over the next week and politely refused.
2 days left before it was switched off so went on live chat, stated previous offers weren't enough to stay and was quickly offered 50% off the whole subscription and a £50 account credit. Asked for more credit but said £50 is the maximum. Made a counter offer of £65 credit as that was what they gave us last year - he checked with his supervisor and all agreed. In total it took 20 minutes, a vast improvement on the 2 hours spent on live chat a year ago!
So the full price of £92pm or a staggering £1,104 a year has become £487 for the year (£46pm less £65), the equivalent of £40.58pm. Yes, an increase on last year but for us, a good result for a little bit of effort. Good luck to all who are renewingJames0 -

One last update folks (I hope) - SKY have called me back and said that although I have upgraded from the Variety Pack to the Family Bundle ( in order to get HD) I should still have to pay £6 EXTRA a month for Sky Sports in HD. You effectively have to pay for HD twice if you want Sports in HD! What a rip-off !!
Anyway, I insisted that was not what I was told and that I have it in writing; so they have agreed to give me Sports in HD at no extra cost on top of what I had already agreed.
After that they tried to flog me half-price movies and SkyGo Extra (free for 2 months) - I politely refused.
Really hope that's the end of it now ...0 -
After cancelling a few days ago I got a call back offering me 50% off and £50 credit
Too bad they didn't offer me that before I switched my phone and broadband to TalkTalk! Oh well, their loss is my gain (£120 in Love2Shop vouchers and a lower monthly bill to be precise!)
Now I'm getting the Family bundle for £19 a month instead of the basic Entertainment package for £22.50 and my phone & broadband is cheaper too. KERCHING! ££££
More for less! And all thanks to MSEHi. I'm a Board Guide on the Gaming, Consumer Rights, Ebay and Praise/Vent boards. Can anyone offer me some advice. I processed my cancellation today so my broadband and phone services will end on 24 June and TV on 11 July.
I was paying £54 per month for every sky channel in HD, multiroom, sky go extra, broadband unlimited and Sky talk.
When I went through the renewal options, the best he said he could offer was 40% off just my TV package which meant it was £89 per month.
Am I likely to be able to get a deal similar to the £54 I was paying?0 -
I got a great deal last year 60% off all channels inc sports and movies free bb 50% off line rental 50% off multiroom and 35% off hd.
