Where in the app do the offers come? I cancelled today but can't see anywhere where the offers would be.

It's the Sky Service app. My deal pops straight on the screen when logging in.

I usually pay our line rental annually. I've just had a letter about Virgin Line Rental Saver. They are asking for £184 (full price £215.88).
I rang them and was told they can't make a better offer on this but did offer a £6 pm reduction on our TV package for the next 12 months.
I would like to stay with Virgin as their customer service has been excellent in the 3 years we've been with them.

I rang again and was offered a £12.00 per month reduction on our TV package and Netflix free for six months. I am happy with this and have paid for the line rental as offered.

Yes, you need to download the Sky Service app. You can get it from the App Store or Google Play, depending on which device you have. It's quick and easy to manage your Sky account and check your bills. I could only see the offer on the Sky Service app but not when I logged into my Sky account via a web browser. If there's an offer available then it will be the first page you'll see when you log into the app on your mobile.

I just saw that on the Sky website I can get as a new customer a deal for £38 a month for 12 months... I pay more now for less. Who do I call to see if they can match that price?

If it helps I have TV, Broadband and Talk.

  • Just helped my mum renew for another year through live chat and actually ended up with a lower price after agreeing to a higher price! Haha!

Been paying £10 per month for a few years now and this is the first year they haven't been able to match it. Best they could offer was £12.50 per month. I figured if she went through with cancelling, she'd probably be able to get £10 per month offered at a later date, but for £2.50 per month, I couldn't be bothered (busy few weeks ahead), plus she'd be wasting money in the meantime since the refund would be less once the discount is applied (since the old offer has already run out - Mum's a few weeks late renewing) - by quite a bit, if it took up to another 30 days.

Anyway, after she had agreed to the £12.50, he had posted all the T&Cs and confirmed he had applied the discount. He then said he had good news, he'd miscalculated the discount and actually the monthly payment will be £10.75! That's £9 (annual total) more than last year, but if we'd waited another 3 or 4 weeks then Mum would have lost that much from the eventual refund anyway (my fault for not helping contact Sky a few weeks ago)!

So after agreeing to pay £2.50 more per month than last year, she'll actually only be paying 75p more per month than last year.

I cancelled about a week ago and have the 50% offer through the Sky app. I see others saying the best way to approach this is via online chat, how did others going about the rolling contract/£50 credit? Is it a case of you don't ask you don't get? :)

What I did on live chat is this:
on my sky page I have been offered the following offer: Stay with Sky get 50% off TV and Multiscreen along with £50 credit. Redeem online.

They will then come back with the 50% off for you, before going ahead check the prices they give you just to make sure it is half price..
  • Just renewed for another 12 months with Sky.. Had put my 31 day in and waited a week after the last time I tried to get a deal. This time I did the following with live chat:

on my sky page I have been offered the following offer: Stay with Sky get 50% off TV and Multiscreen along with £50 credit. Redeem online.

This time they came back with a price of £37.55 a month for 12 months and a £50 credit.
In this price I have got: Variety Bundle, Sky Sports, Multiscreen and MUTV.
Last 12 months I have paid £34.40 so my bill has gone up by £3.15..

Am happy for another 12 months now....

I have sky broadband and it is awful - keeps cutting out, but am contracted to January. Has anyone successfully cancelled their contract early without paying a fee?
