S-I-L cancelled Sky TV package ~ 2 weeks ago; he got a phone call yesterday ostensibly to discuss his final bill! but he ended up being offered 60% off of his package -never one to miss an opportunity he asked about a bill credit -and got £50.:T
Reduced his overall Sky bill inc line and fibre by over £50 pm:)
Seems like the "rumours" of Sky being prepared to accept high churn rates, are a load of old toffee!!0 -
Offers definitely improving - I had been without SkyTV for a few weeks after cancelling in late April but had a call frm Sky today and have just accepted:
- 60% off TV
- 60% off HD
- £100 credit
That's for Family plus Sports with HD (£28.60 total p/m for 12 months cancel any time i.e. no new contract, so in theory could cancel again once the free credit runs out...)0 -
Seems like there is no offers from Virgin. All I can see is lucky sky customers reaping benefits.0

Cancelled my Virgin 50 Mb/s BB only on Friday. I'd been paying £23.50 on my previous retention deal, but wasn't offered anyhing this time bar a throttled 20Mb/s service with 30Gb download limit for £17. Said no to that so my 30 days notice got put through.
Monday afternoon, the very next working day, got the "call" from Retentions. He initially offered me £20, before we finally agreed on £19. New 12 month contract.
Also renewed my 60% + £100 from Sky a few weeks back.
I prefer to keep my broadband and TV providers separate as it helps with haggling not being too tied down0 -

Cancelled 30 days ago - TV went off today. Went on to live chat and got
- 60% of main TV sub
- 50% of multiform
- £50 bill credit
- New 12 month contract
Sky Family pack with HD, Sky Sports and Sky Movies - standard price £92 a month, will go down to £38 a month, with £50 credit, this effectively becomes £34 a month for 12 months. Pretty pleased with that!0 -
Anyone got any deals on sky fibre bb and is it any good?0

I got another good deal with Sky for the 2nd year running. Cancelled my tv package (original) and 3 weeks later they offered me £15.40 p/m for line rental, broadband and original tv package for 12 months!0
