Waving at drivers who have the same car as you?!

We usually always wave at other cars- there aren't many Proton's in my area. We do keep stickers and flyers in the cars and have handed them to people before (for our owners club)....
Took the V6 for it's first NI MOT on Friday, and while it failed was impressed by the tester- he could tell me without prompting where the floorplan came from, the other cars using the same engine etc....
We've had some members on our club follow a nicely looked after or modified Proton, and chat to them before- some of our best mechanics and tuners have been approached like that!0 -
This happens to my brother all the time, he drives a spearmint coloured corsa (reasonably unusal) and the same woman waves at him all the time, she must live on same estate. Im goin to show him this page, hw knows to wave back to her now its bizarre!0

Us Smart Car owners are supposed to wave at each other... seems about a 50% success rate at the moment though.0

And that for the kind of people who do this. Their cars are their hobby, or at least one of them.0 -
I thought it was just M.G. drivers that waved to each other. I never get a wave now that I drive a Honda!0

Waving was par for the course in our old mini, and pretty soon I'll be back on the road in a clubman estate
which will be handed to DD1 when she finishes uni, after which hopefully my mini will be ready to hit the road- after 15 years languishing in a leaky garage.
As a biker, it's force of habit too- although there are more & more mid-life-crisis sports bikers who don't partake these days.DTD...Dreading The Detox.0
