We used to have a Volvo 1800E and we waved at (or were waved at by) other 1800Es or P1800s but it only happened a few times, unsurprisingly.

We also have a Norton Interpol 2 motorbike, (only about 400 odd were made) and I would probably attempt to shake hands if we passed one, but we've only seen 3 others and they were all at Norton events. I find that bikers here in the southeast UK don't wave or nod much, the continentals seem friendlier. I did think that maybe sports bikers only nodded at other sports bikers but when we've been out on our sports bike hardly anyone nodded back then either.

Partner's just bought a 45 yr old land rover so wondering whether we will get waved at by other landie drivers.

TBH I'd wave at someone driving a classic landie - they're epic :D

(although they'd probably wonder why some guy in a French repmobile was waving at them :rotfl:)
