tweetie_pie wrote: »the house in which baby is living at atm is dirty smelly cat poo on the floor fleas etc and thats not me saying that its in the report
Another thing is the hoardes of teenagers that go around the house that is another cnocern of the sw as they have drinking parties and because there are no rules in her house lots of teenagers go down there some are drug users its the grandmothers house and she lets them neighbours have complained of noise police go down there a lot and there has also been report of sexual activities going on in the garden and this is all complaints from a few of the neighbours of grandparents house
The more i read the more worried i am so i may sound like im being nasty to the mum but what i have posted is not just from what we have seen a lot of all of the information has already been logged about the house teenage parties etc even before i knew her and when i did get to know her i was quite close to her and i thought she was a decent woman who had a rough trot in care etc but after trying to advise her to work with the sw and do as they say for baby but then she goes out of her way to make matters worse and then learning about all this on the reports and seeing for myself now the only way we can see to make babies life better would be to look after him ourselves
Thankyou for posting
Who is making these complaints and who to? Quite simply if the police had been round and found a small baby in this environment then they would have removed the child immediatley.
Again I will say the social worker has an absolute duty to get this case striaght into court and remove this child.Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0 -
Apologies for jumping down your throat but as a childcare social worker of more years than I care to admit and a mother to 2 teenagers it immediately got my back up. With a child this high risk 2 visits a day is madness - there are still hours between 5 and 8.30 and weekends where they cannot monitor this child.
Your last post explaining that SS are taking legal advice now helps me to understand rather than your difficult and somewhat defensive and accusing post previoulsy. If you need any help or advice regarding care proceedings and the process (I can't give opinions or look at papers etc) then please feel free to ask and I will be happy to help. Mooloo will vouch that I'm not a monster - sorry if I came across as that way before.
Regards.
Thats ok i realise that the information i have posted some posters think its all from me i should have explained i have got that information from the core meetings and i have a folder full of it but i was just trying to give everyone as much information as i can
Thankyou i would like any advice you can give me as i am not sure of how things work how long they take to actually let us see baby for a start contact needs to be sorted if nothing else
My son really wants to see his baby and asked her but she said baby hasnt got a dad so we want that bit as soon as possible because his worried his gonna forget him and he reconised our voices so beamed everytime we spoke to him and always followed daddys voice we miss him so much
thanks again for any advice you can give me we will hopefully know more 2moro when we see the solicitor0 -
OP, in your position I would be extremely grateful for Gizmo111's input, and I would be paying very close attention to what she is telling you. Read back over some of her past posts to reassure yourself, she really does know what she is talking about, and in my opinion is being exceptionally kind to be going out of her way to help in her own time when she does this all day. I hope that the best outcome for the baby is reached very soon.0

The house has been like that for years ever since my gra ndsons mum was a baby but only taken into care when her mum scaulded her in a hot bathWho is making these complaints and who to? i think is disgusting that they dont but there are a lot out there with filthy houses bringing up children
Yes there is the big cp meeting sept 3rd but according to sw today if things dont change it will be before then
sw, neighbours, health visitors midwife its all logged in the paperwork that is why sw got mum her own flat and so she dont take baby down there but shes never at her flat only when she hasnt gotr baby for parties
again complaints from neighbours of her flat noise loud music etc etc and its a mum/baby unit so should really respect other mums with babies etc and use it for the purpose she was given it to bring up her son0 -

So has she been given notice from the M&B Unit - especially if she doesn't have a baby there.
Have the police been called to grandmas - with all the underage sex and drugs going on?Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0 -
tweetie_pie wrote: »correction i wasnt suggesting it the sw was as the mum told us she got prescribed calpol sw checked it out and she wasnt and babies behaviour was different
so the social worker noticed the babies behavior was different, was suspicious he'd been given calpol, then allegedly finished her visit, didn't do anything, sought no medical attention and THEN later decided to call the police(as you described your first post) In an attempt to find the mother and baby ?0 -
tweetie_pie wrote: »They have checked out all of my family me and partner included have spoke to bosses etc and checked our home out all came bk perfect
i have explained about the calpol earlier and they know from information from the past that he is not safe that is why they r keeping a close eye on him and want us to get a residency order b4 any harm come to him and its too late
Its amazing how they have managed to do all these checks (what with data protection etc) sooo quickly, lets face it the baby is only 8 weeks old, especially given the fact that there was concern that the bay wasn't your sons and DNA tests were done.
BTW who's boss did they speak to - you posted earlier that no one in the house hold was employed ?0 -

My (admittedly scant) knowledge of supported housing is that there are very strict rules in this kind of unit such as having to be in my 10pm etc - if the mother is never there I'm sure she'd have been kicked out pretty quick sharp and the pace given to someone else.0 -
tweetie_pie wrote: »I am sure some people on here would rather see the baby get hurt before we do something
Hang on, that is a really awful thing to say. I understand you may be worried about your grandson and a bit highly strung, but there is absolutely no need for that kind of statement just because people are pointing out obvious flaws in your plans.
I'm sorry I am completely out of this thread. I really hope your Grandson gets the right outcome for him and not a misplaced tug-of-love which is how it appears to me.
And for the record, I still think your son should be paying from his EMA and god forbid, get a part time job to pay his way. You are simply enabling him being irresponsible towards the little one by not contributing.Earn £10 a day JAN: £92.23 / £310 :j ...............NSD Jan 2/10
14 months to debt free with snowballing (start date Jan 2012) £0/12600........JAN weight loss target 5/60 pounds
I'll make it to the moon if I have to crawl0
