  • Well I would have thought I was bidding on a vest. It is described as a vest in the title and in the description it is described as a 'shirt', which I thought referred to the vest.
I am on the buyers side and can see why they left negative feedback as the seller was not very helpful in their replies.

I don't know if it's right or not, but you might be able to get the feeback removed as he threatened you with negative feedback and this is against the rules.

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

Well, thank you for the replies and I'll certainly give them some thought.

However, his latest message makes me chuckle

"its ok jonny paypal will work this one out as you simply do not have the mentality to understand that returning this undescribed item will cost me more than its worth, "

He obviously doesn't understand that he's obliged to return it 'tracked' and I'm only obliged to refund the original postage.

As an aside, how does one go about getting feedback removed?

Actually a good seller will refund the return postage as well if they were at fault. He is also only obliged to send it back tracked to avoid issues with dodgy sellers who may pretend it hasn't arrived.

And if I had misrepresented the item, I'd do this happily.

However, this buyer has been and is being stupid. I'm not prepared to pay for that - especially after defamatory feedback.

did you originally send it with tracking?
  • but the common perception is that vests are sleeveless, therefore it would be best to fully describe the items and says how it has capped sleeves (or however they are).

most of mine/my oh's vests have sleeves, some even have full sleeves so i agree that the buyer is a numpty, but the OP could have gone about this a little better (and yes take out the postage bit from your listings!)

I'm with the seller, It's the buyers fault for not checking what he was buying. If we wanted a particular style he should have fired off an email asking what style of item he was purchasing.
