I'm 28 and get ID'd all the time. I figure by the time i'm 30 i may look 18 so probably not too bad:cool:

  • I'm 31 and still get ID'd whenever I try to buy alcohol and when I used to smoke I was always asked for ID. I try to see it as a compliment but I hate it, its embarassing. However I've learned to live with it and just carry my ID around everywhere and hope that one day I won't need it.

I was out with my OH about 5 years ago and some random guy came upto us and asked me if I should be skipping school. He found it hilarious but I just wanted the earth to open up and swallow me whole. Mortifying!

My mum on the other hand has just turned 60 and loves it when she gets asked for her ID when she is trying to claim pensioner discounts, as she doesn't look her age at all. :D

I'm 28 and I am always asked for ID. It can be really annoying!

Even when I am doing the weekly shop and I have a bottle wine or two in there and I can see the suspicious look they give me. Then they ask for ID.

I know I look young for my age and I am petite :o

When wer'e older we will, I hope, be thankful!
  • I'm 28 too, no one believes me and I still carry ID, though the last 3 times I didn't, maybe the anti-aging creams stopped working?
I love food, hate waste and have a penchant for sparkly things ::D

  • I would be flattered at this point, as everything starts to age (the stress of children helps to bring this on I find) and suddenly you look much older!

That said I know how frustrating things can be, only the other day when I phoned to make a claim on my insurance the call centre operator asked if my husband had given me permission to make this call. I am a joint policy holder. How I would have loved to jump into the phone and grab this thing on the other end of the phone.

27 and occasionally get asked. I tend to say 'Haha are you serious?' and then they get really embarrassed while I laugh it off and tell them how flattered I am that they should ask such a thing!

If I didn't have ID on me then I guess I would be embarrassed cos I think once they ask they have to see it even if they start doubting themselves.

    I'm 35 (today!) and I still get ID'd occasionally. I think it's funny :D

I managed to get to age 21 before the turnstile operator at the match realised I wasn't an "under 16" :rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....

I don't get Id'd anymore, not since I was about 19 (28 now), my hubby who is 42 is id'd everytime he buys alcohol, or tries to get in a pub. The door staff can't believe that he is in his 40's, he has such a baby face!! He gets really cross about it as he always has to have his driving licence with him!! :D

  • I don't know why but this really gets to me! I'm 28 and know I look much younger, but still get really upset when people mistake me for an 18 or even 21 year old. It's so embarassing in the supermarket or the pub when I have to get out my ID!

Yeah but think of it from the other POV - if the seller makes the wrong judgement call and sells alcohol to someone underage and gets caught, they get personally fined! It's not worth the risk.

I have to ID people to buy their fish and hamsters :D

I'm almost 30 and get id'd regularly. The worst is when I have my 'little sister' with me who is actually my almost 10 yr old daughter. She thinks its hilarious, I on the other hand do not!
