Is it bad that I took delight in my younger sister (who's just turned 18) getting ID'd? :rotfl:
I've been places before with her when she hasn't been ID and i have, despite being 6 years older!!!This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

haha this happened to me a few years ago, i was nearly 20 and a policewoman approached me in the town centre and asked why i wasnt at school:o:rotfl:i was on my dinner break from uni with some of the other students!! cringe lol!!
i'm 26 now and get asked every time i buy alcohol, or go out drinking, it used to bother me but to be honest its not worth it anymore, i'll soon be wrinkled and grey lol!!0 -
I went into Tesco's to get a bottle of wine whilst boyfriend waited in the car. They refused to serve me as I had just gone in with cash. So I had to go back to the car and my boyfriend had to go in and get it :rotfl:.
I am 5'4 and a size 8, maybe we are all of the more petite variety? So probably do look a bit child like. School boys and many girls tower over me .
Maybe I need to invest in loads of stiletto's and a handbag full of makeup0 -

and if we're working it the same way then I should look about 12...actually, that's probably not far off :rotfl: We are a very young looking family though. I don't think any of our relatives look their age do they?!
I still get ID'd and i'm 26 in a week or so. It used to bother me but now I don't care! I have ID so just hand it over and get one with it.
Yeah your right we do all look young..that's a good thing though i think and doesn't bother me at all! (Think i have a '13' card in the cupboard will save buying you one!!:rotfl:)0 -
I look very young - always have, especially dressed in casual clothes. For me, the worst is when I get the shocked "I cant beleive your real age" reaction. I find it so embarrassing!

Well I'm 39 in a couple of months. size 8 and 5ft3". I get ID'd ALL the time, and classed as a 18 or 20 yr old!! recently at Morrisons when shopping with my hubby. He hates shopping at the best of times, and we were both stunned when the checkout operator asked ME for ID. LOL I laugh about it now, but boy it really pi**ed me off. I said to her "are you joking?" She said NO I need to see your ID if your buying that bottle of wine. I told her my HUSBAND was paying for the shopping ,and she said unless I produce the ID we were not having the wine, she said he may give me the wine when we get outside. I had great satisfaction seeing the look on her face when she looked at my ID. but the brat still did not appologise, and even looked younger than me. Arggghhh
I always ask my hairdresser to make me look older. Dont think he gets asked that very often. LOL
A couple of times when a stranger has come to the door looking for my hubby, they say to me is your father around!! I'm sure he'll be getting a complex soon, going around with a teeny bopper like me LOL He is 10 years older than me, but "looks" 30.
On the whole, it really infuriates me. I dont care if when I'm 60 I look 40. I AM nearly 40 now, not bl**dy 200 -
Yep all the time and I'm 30. Never got asked when i was under 18 though! Looking young does help getting rid of chuggers though...Them: "are you over 18?". Me: "Nope" as i walk past with my 12 yo dd and 5 yo ds :rotfl:
You should see the looks i get when my dd calls me mum in public.:D0 -
I got ID'd in Tescos the other day... by a woman I used to work with 10 years ago!
DH was recently ID'd for a 15 rated dvd, whilst stood with our two kids. The boy on the till looked at me as if I were his mum and was asking me if he was old enough..?0
