That's about the size of what I used, Sami (25x20). Worked fine - I guess they were prolly a little thinner than they would have been otherwise, but they haven't suffered for it (I did whip them out a bit earlier than stated, but there was a different reason for this at that stage of testing, and I am not really sure any longer what it was ! )0

Wow Sami they look fabby!!!!!!
but you know...
I've left it in the oven switched off and I've crossed my fingers lol, it looks like we might be off to MILs for tea I'll probably take it with me if so.
I'll also find out her view on the cheesecake - I took the remains to see if she, FIL and BIL would like it. No doubt BIL will say he didn't like it but ate the whole thing!:cool:0 -
I finally made the carrot cake, it's so easy to do and so yummy! I think it's going to become a staple in this house, lots of extra veg and omegas going into the kids has to be a good thing!
Now, please, will some one take it away so I stop eating it?Eat food, not edible food-like items. Mostly plants.0 -
Sami the brownies look lovely love the piccies will keep our Artybear happy. Meal was a success and the biccies were very moreish may not last as long as i hoped. However we are eating at exs tomorrow so still hope for them xx0

I need to make the carrot cake too QOS! Make carrot, apple & raisin buns quite often but not done CFR cake yet, only bought a loaf tin last week but have no excuse now! And by all accounts, including yours, it's delish!
Sami - love the buttons idea with the brownies, might try that one myself! Am sure everyone love them even if they were a bit too gooey in the middle, I took a batch into work and they looked appalling (shame I couldn't have taken pics for you to laugh at Arty!) as not set enough when sliced, but they were devoured and everyone wanted the recipe!
Might finally be off to make CFR pizza now... will let you know how it goes!

 Hello everyone
I have been mad busy with decorating and stuff, so not really had a chance to witter on about nowt.... well I have, just not here eh?
VenusFlytrap wrote: »just dropping in to say made the Brownies last night and everyone in the office LOVES them, says they're very moreish despite the fact my presentation leaves a lot to be desired! Think I should have left them to cool for longer before slicing as they're more lumps than squares, but everyone thinks they're DELICIOUS!
I too made the brownies recently... and excercised as much patience as an ant to get them out of the tin... (a newly bought brownie tin, for the purpose I might add.... which to be fair, I think to do them justice, I should have added half again
)
Anyway....
They fell apart like a big fally apart thing, because I couldnt be patient
I followed the recipe exactly...
For me they are waaaaaay too sweet.
For the biddies they are waaaaaaay too sweet.
I took them to work, and some commented that they were waaaaay too sweet....
Although, I have to add... for myself, the biddies, and those who commented that they were too sweet... we all managed another wee chunk or two ( I say chunk, as I didnt wait till they were cool enough to cut, so, they were all chunks)
I personally found them a wee bit greasy, but no one else said they were.... I think the reduction of sugar, and an increase of flour would resolve thisHi hayley
I was hoping the sugar could be reduced and a few folk have said that 240g will still be very sweet. Please add an extra 30g self-raising flour tho, as I think there won't be enough dry weight now we've reduced the sugar!
I will try this next time I make themoooooh get you!!!! Here is 30p go and phone someone who gives a monkeys:rotfl:Crap wages, narky boss who needs it not me thats for sure.
Anyway for the rest of you have made the cheesecake and its cooling now looks lovely though there was the potential for a disaster (me not the recipe) but hopefully all ok. Will let you know when we try it later on. Also made pizza and sauce, walked dog and hoovered downstairs so quite a productive couple of hours. So cuppa time and catch up on my sky+ xx
30p.... thats inflation eh ?
What happened to heres 20p to phone yer mam, you've pulled :rotfl:
Or, when I was much, much younger....
I used to phone home, with 10p... if my dad answered, I always wished the phone box could give me change, cos he said soooo little :rotfl:
Life before mobile phones eh ?
And where is this lemon cheesecake recipe ?:(
I have only seen the peanut choc one
I cant find it... sorry... I havent been around so much to know whats going on anymore0 -
Just wanted to say the Kitty option looks a great idea and I will check out the veggie options. I need to work out how much adaptation they need as due to DH's health we eat low GI foods, so reducing sugar as much as poss, all wholegrain, no white pasta, no mash etc. I'm assuming no-one will mind if I post any notes about adaptations.Debt at highest: £8k.
