I fully support Allegra in her views.
Looking back on a previous posts I see Maltesers was criticised for her behaviour in another thread over 18 months ago.
The current level of exchanges is now beyond tedious and shows total discourtesy to both the team and readers of the site.
To clog up this thread with the latest stream of comments is not what this thread is for so please stop.
We only want to get on and cook as cheaply and effectively as we can, let us get on with it PLEASE.0 -

Well - I've read through the last couple of pages with astonishment. The only thing that is completely clear from this is that human emotions/feelings are coming into this debate. I NEVER understand why human emotions/feelings ever come into ANY debates. They are IMHO irrelevant. The facts are what counts and all that counts - in any debate.
So - I admit personally that I honestly dont understand why ANYONE is talking about their emotions/feelings in this context...and getting emotional about this...
On a purely factual front - I have sat here "somewheres in the middle" trying to understand what on earth is going on here. So - can I ask a factual question to start with please? Is the thread referred to above (ie "Maltesers' behaviour in another thread over 18 months ago" attributable to the thread Maltesers started entitled "Nutrition - Old Style" (ie thread number 1428597)?
This is a purely factual question - trying to get to the root of what on earth is happening here? So - can I please have clarification if this is the thread referred to? If not - then which IS the thread referred to?
My head hurts here - trying to find a route through all the emotion/namecalling/"political" thanking or avoiding thanking of posts to work out exactly what is going on here - BLOW THE EMOTIONS...they really really ARE irrelevant. Understandable - but can everyone focus purely and simply on the facts please...
(goes off hoping to goodness that no-one starts throwing a response based on emotions - rather than facts - back in my direction.....).0 -
Ceridwen, my lovely, fact is, I am feeling rather emotional
C'mon now, let's have us all a dodgy group hug :grouphug: I got you an' the 'tesers in wiv me, all the rest are welcome to join in if they like
BTW, I have no idea what thread was referred to, else I'd happily provide the facts - I never "met" 'tesers til the CFRs inception freds. And as for "political" thanking or otherwise, do you ever do that ? I always thought that everyone does as I do (I suppose we all do that, take ourselves as a starting point) and thank any post that they feel makes a worthwile contribution, one way or another0 -
Count me in for one of those dodgy group hugs please Allegra :A ... I find all the conflict upsetting. I like it when we're one big happy family stuffing our faces with yummy recipes.Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

Ahem....
Some people do have very strong feelings about a variety of things, regardless of facts.... and to a very great extent (no figures or percentages to fill in here), that really is what makes the world go round.
Personal circumstances contribute to such feelings, and are never going to yeild accurate facts.
There are too many variables to ascertain how these feelings came/come about.
I am not going to go on about it tonight ... as I am at the very, very, very blunt end of a extremly busy backshift bonfire night
And YAY... another one to follow tomorrow0 -
To answer the specific point raised by Ceridwen the post I found is on a thread called Eating Well Vs Eating Cheaply. It is post number 40 from a poster called Pink-Winged at 6.36 pm on 7/2/09.
Due my very low number of posts I am unable to copy and paste.0
