Hi.
I am extremely new to this and would appreciate your help.
Now i clicked on the option 1 on this menu
http://www.cheap-family-recipes.org.uk/planners.html
I then had a brief look at the menu and decided to give it a go. I then clicked on the What you'll need to buy link to the right of that page.
I then clicked on week 1 of that page and printed up the shopping list for that week. Now i went to Tesco today and brought all the ingredients on that list. My first boo boo was i brought everything on that list then realised i am not a family of four it's just myself and my son :rotfl:. OK i hope that isn't a total waste
The thing i do not understand is that week 1 list does not tally up with the option 1 meal planner in that the shopping list, lists chicken n& onion pie as one of the meals yet on week 1 here or any other week i can't even see it..? am i being dumb..? lol. http://www.cheap-family-recipes.org.uk/planners.html0 -
welcome Orville

Hi Orville nice to see you joining in. I think you have missed the chicken pie as we have done it as a lunch for Sunday instead of a eve meal. HTH and if you have any other problems please give us a shout and there should be someone around to give you an answer0

Hello Orville, and welcome
Firstly, no problem regarding the shopping list - you have two options here, depending on how big your freezer isEither cook double of everything and bung half in the freezer for use at a later date, or do Week 1 two weeks in a row - so after you've done your first week, do it all over again to use up the ingredients
It'll be no dearer and all the food will get used up !
Regarding the chicken and onion pie, do you mean that the shopping list does not tell you to buy one ? If so, that is because you will be making it yourself (yey ! It's one of my fave CFR meals !) :T If that's not what you mean, please forgive me, and could you please correct me so we can help you on that
ETA: ah, I think Shanks and Weezl understood you better. Please forgive me, I have had a hard day0 -

Hi thanks for the help, you never look for the obvious do you doh.
Had quite a time today in tescos gathering all the ingredients, it took about an hour and a half to find everything. There are some ingredients i am not sure how to prepare such as the butternut squash for one.0 -
orville I think folk vary with butternut squash, I just cut the stalk off and roast literally everything else, seeds and all , as it is all edible, but some folk peel a few mm off the outside and discard the seeds.

I made pumpkin risotto on Sunday. It was scrummy. The pumpkins were cheaper than squash so I decided to give it a try. I peeled the pumpkin and roasted it, roasting the seeds in a separate tray. We are still munching on them as snacks.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

maltesers,
I have analysed the amount of ALA in both the planners now, and they are below the level which one of the studies based on the nurses study correlated with an increased risk of Age-related macular degeneration (1.44g/1.47g daily). The figures are available for those who would like them. There will also be an FAQ on the site addressing this shortly.
Now mockmass is over I wonder if you would let me have the figures. Mine were only approximations.0 -
I made plain, tomato and onion houmous today - scrummy!
The boys loved the tomato one.
I cheated by using "very lazy onions" because I have a gigantic jar in the fridge.
How long do they keep in the fridge? I'm thinking 3days+ ?
I was thinking of giving some to my sis in her birthday present maybe in dinky ikea jars.0
