I send a photocopy of the original invoice. The one that was printed on by an inkjet and sent with the phone. Also, the full (all pages) of the required mobile phone statement I recieve through the post. I also include a covering letter with required details, but also mention dates, t&c, expected payment date etc.. (I keep photocopies of everything I send and file away under 'submitted claims')

Not that it's making much different. I eventually got my 4 and 8 month cashbacks (both 2 months late after much chasing) - Now I'm in the process of chasing up the final 12 month claim. Submitted 2nd January.

Words fail me  I was on my final month 12 cashback claim, which I submitted 2nd January.

Last Thursday was my step in getting this last payment.

I made a phonecall to the 01732 765405 number and asked for the Claims Department. I was told that she couldn't transfer me to that department and advised I should use email. To this I laughingly replied that I'd emailed the claims department numerous times over the past month and have had no joy (little white lie on my part). I then explained that I'm chasing a claim submitted on the 2nd january which they signed for it on the 3rd.

She then said, what she could do, was pass on my details to the relevant department for them to look into. She took my WEB invoice number and name.

Thinking nothing would come of this and preparing to send a letter of intent to take to small claims court - Yesterday my final cashback cheque arrived. :j

So that's me done - The phone contract was closed at the end of December and I've been paid out in full for all my cashback claims from Phones2UDirect.

It shouldn't have to be this difficult to get your cashbacks - I'd advise anyone who don't enjoy the challange  , not to use them.

It's been a fun 12 months  - But never again with Phones2UDirect.

My 2nd claim went in beginning of Jan also. No answer to emails.

Am just about to submit my 3rd before being paid my second - very annoying, will not touch them again.
  • I had to issue legal proceedings to receive some/all of my cashback
I have a contract and have tried claiming the first cash back. Nothing has turned up suprise suprise. I could not contact them by phone, so as live 5 mins away went to their office. Its a horrible little office on a small industrial estate. Pretended to be UPS so they let me in . Some big fat ugly guy came down. Said he would go and see where my claim was. Came back 10 min later and said they never got it. I insinuated certain stuff and left before he got physical. Just had a thought I wont post it on here!!! mmmmm I will ask around and see what I can find out. I have complained to Trading standards and will ask a friend of mine who is shall we say in the know what they know how big a problem they are. I will now right claiming they are in breach of contract and that having to make the first claim is an unfair contract term and no doubt I will issue a summons in 2 weeks!!

    Will keep you all posted.

after doing some digging around localy I will now be issuing a summons at 9am today, against the comapny and against the director David Ellis. I will post his full personal details on this site at a latter date so that you can instruct the balifs to go to his house and repossess stuff including his very expensize BMW. I will also post his home and mobile nubers so you can call him personaly and ask for your money back. He thinks hes above the law, not this time mate.

    All the best!!

I've received all cashbacks due with little/no problems
I got my first cashback claim slightly before the 28 "working days" due date (yes guys you read that right) but I'm sure that was only because I phoned them about 10 days earlier to let them know their time was nearly up and I would pursue them through the courts. (Its the old Buzby line "Make Someone Angry with a phone call").

This was just around Christmas time and they may have been concerned that any postal delays might put THEM over the due date and, as I was threatening them will my own blend of Christmas spirit, it seemed to focus their minds somewhat. Bah, humbug!

However, we are on to claim 2 now (9months) and it's day 11 beyond their own deadline.
I just called them, spoke to Suzanne, who described herself as "only an administrator". Went through the usual twaddle of telling me to e-mail - which I laughed at. Told me she can't transfer internally - oh yeah!!!
So I told her I was about to start legal proceedings against them.

Anyway, I told her I would hold the line whilst she spoke to someone about it (she offered to get someone to ring me back, but I didn't fall for that old chestnut).

A couple of mins later she came back and says they are working a little behind schedule but my claim was currently in "Finance" (ya gotta laugh haven't you) and it would be posted within two weeks.

So I told her that I would treat Phones2U Direct with the same contempt that they treated their customers who fall foul of a deadline and put it into court regardless.

So now we'll see eh? :)

As an afterthought, I went to their website and used the "recommend a friend" box to enter my details and warn them I was instigating legal proceedings and put a time and date of message in the bottom box.

Remember, these types of boxes get compiled into e-mails and you can write anything in the boxes. Since they hope to gain business from these, its my guess that these are more likely to be read than ignored like the cashback e-mails do.
The bankers stole my pension (and everyone else's). It should have earned a lot of money, but they took their bonus pot first.

I sent for my 1st cashback on the 24th February and more than 2 months later I am still waiting.
After trying to contact phones2u by phone the message that is being relayed is We are having technical problems with our lines in case of problems please contact us by email on.....
So Having tried their email to both sales and customer services and even sending via their recruitment site and all sites listed, daily for the last 3 weeks guess what ... You are right NOTHING only the normal automated replys. I have left on each occasion 2 phone numbers and 3 email addresses as apparently they have problems with a certain site...
I have finaly threatened legal action and also involvement with Watchdog giving them a limited time to reply..
I really wish I had found this site prior to taking out this contract and I do feel more should be done to expose the company for its underhanded attemts to avoid its financial responsibilites .
    I will keep you informed.
