Because of errors on my part I've lost some/all of my cashback
They have rejected my cashback because I sent a phoyocopied invoice instead of the original. Two things. Firstly, over the lst few years I have done probably 15 cashbacks for the family and have NEVER specifically been asked for the original. Secondly, does it really matter whether I sent the original or a photoopy? Either way, I've had the phone and paid the bills. Finally, I wonder how this would stand up legally? I e mailed them a week ago and haven't had a response.
Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.
  • I've received all cashbacks due with some (non-legal) pressure applied
Been waiting for my first cashback since July. Monday this week sent a letter stating that if the money wasn't paid by the end of Sept I would consider this to be their intention of non compliance with our contract so would pursue the claim through legal recourse. Amazingly a cheque arrived in the post today. Not yet cashed but I remain hopeful. Next cashback claim due in Oct. Watch this space!!

  • I had to issue legal proceedings to receive some/all of my cashback
Well well well - wonders will never cease.
Issued claim against phones2udirect via the moneyclaim online website at cost of £30. Claim issued 7th September, legally deemed to be served 12th September.
Received letter from phones2udirect 22nd September (dated 19th September) quote
Thank you for posting your claim for cashback.
Please find the enclosed cheque for £150 to be broken down as follows.
£120 for your first instalment of cashback.
£30 for costs you have incurred.
Please accept our sincere apologies in the delay in dealing with your claim. Due to large back logs of claims received.

Absolute rubbish - I believe that they just try it on to see if you will fight them. Non existant customer service - avoid at all costs.
  • Through no fault of my own I've lost some/all of my cashback
As anybody who has read my previous rants will know I am not a fan of this company, but hang out the flags because I actually got a refund yesterday. :j I had threatened to take them to court, but hadn't yet got round to it, so you never know Wayneweb, maybe they weren't spinning a line.

    Hi

I also havent got my first cashback from phones2udirect. I think going to small claims court is the only way. Can you give details what documents in all ones requires. quick help will be greatly appriciated.

Just go to the small claims website at https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk, register and commence the proceedings. A fee 0f £30 is payable online. The most difficult thing is condensing your complaint into their rather restrictive number of words allowed.

I haven't recieved my 1st cashback from 3 months ago. Sent numerous emails and been given the runaround when I've phoned up 'different department... etc..'

Just over a week ago I sent them a reminder and notification that if this matter wasn't settled before 13/10/06 (14 days notice), then I would be seeking payment through the small claims court (inc costs).

As yet, I haven't heard a thing.

I'll give it till Friday and then cast my vote.

Phones2UDirect had until Friday 13th to settle my cashback. On Thursday, as I'd not heard anthing, I thought I'd give them a ring and remind them of the deadline.

Got through to usual CS guy who said it wasn't his dept and had I reported this via the cashback email address. Once I stopped laughing, I told him that on numerous times I've tried and recieved automated emails. He then said he would send an internal email department to chase it up. Again, I laughed and said, that's what you did last time and I heard nothing.

I then layed it on thick that unless I was in that telephone converstion able to speak to someone who was going to give me facts about where my claim/cashback was, then the following day I will be submitting a cliam via the Small Claims Court. I was put on hold.......

Mysteriously, someone from the cashback department just happened to be in their part of the building at that time, so they put them on (Jamie Bass). He took my details again, put me on hold and came back saying that a cheque had been sent out on the 7th/8th of October. This had been sent 2nd class so should be with me in a day or two. (MMm... 7th/8th was Saturday/Sunday - Highly unlikely they'd be posting out cheques on a weekend).

After again stating my intentions of the Small Claims court I agreed to give it until Tuesday for the Cheque to arrive, if it hadn't by then, then the next communication they will hear from me will be via Small Claims.

Guess what .... Today a cheque landed through the letterbox for the first instalment of £120 (3 months late). The cheque and covering letter are dated 11th October 2006 :rotfl:

Well finally got their - Just hope it doesn't take another 3 months to recieve my second installment, a claim I put in 2 weeks ago. lol

So my final vote was "I've received all cashbacks due with some (non-legal) pressure applied"
